Palm Treo 750 Smartphone

The Palm 750 has been the most versatile PDA I've ever owned.

The Palm Treo 750 has been a workhorse; I have used Blackberries, and some other PDA's, but none compare.  This PDA is an excellent "small computer", but it is also a darn good PHONE - that is, after all, it's primary purpose!  It is easy to dial; you can use the integrated dial pad on the qwerty keypad, choose a stylus on the touchscreen, enter by name with the keyboard.  It syncs to bluetooth easily, but also has a corded earpiece - which I prefer.  It takes decent pictures, and photos and data can be saved on up to a 2G memory card.

I love this Phone

4

This phone has been great and has alot of new stuff. I really have enjoyed it and now they are not making it anymore. They are coming out with a new model but only one carrier is going to carrier it and I am very disapointed. I sell real estate and this phone has all that you would need to keep your life organized. Its alot friendler than the Blackberry with its usage and not windows based. Its a phone that I would recommend to others who need to keep themselves organized and its easy to use. I have had this phone for over 2 years and have not one problem with it and its just now starting to not hold a full charge so its time to replace the battery. In the business there is not alot of phones that do what this phone does and its been extremely reliable . The new model is going to be full touch screen like the Iphone so its going to have more bells and whistles. Its great to sync with your computer and it plays music and has a GPS and has great games.  The only negative is that you cant have personalized ringtones they dont support on this phone.

The Treo 750 is great for people who like a windows based phone.

The Treo 750 has a lot of features.  It is windows based and supports Microsoft Excel.  You can actually edit the file instead of just looking at it.  I use my phone to do everything.  It keeps my appointments, my lists, my life in order.  It has a camera that takes great photos.  My husband and I both have one.  We use IM+ to communicate most often.  The Treo 750 is like having a computer in the palm of your hand.

Mixed feelings about this phone

4

I love this phone, but then again there are days when I really don't like it much. Especially when it freezes up in the middle of using the Windows application, and when it gets bumped in my purse and starts calling my family on it's own! I am a gadget nut and really wanted the new IPhone, but just could'nt justify paying so much for it and the service costs are ridiculous in my estimation. I get  the exact same services on my Palm for quite a lot less. But the Palm is a bit large and it's difficult to find a cover for it that isn't either extremely costly or is a pain to use. I hate covers that you have to take the phone out of to use, and the others don't keep the keyboard protected. Accessories for this phone are also scarce and spendy, and you have to go to a Palm store to find them. But I love being able to have my contacts and appointments easily at hand without having to carry an additional product. And even though I don't spend a lot of time texting or sending pics. it does make it very easy to do this. And I have accessed the Internet on it way more than I ever thought i would, and it's pretty fast, which surprised me. So compared to a lot of other phones I've owned, it's hands down the best so far.

Lots of features but unreliable

I was excited when I received the Treo, but disappointed in the lack of instructions available.  The included manual included brief start-up instructions and the accompanying CD was not very useful.  Online info was also limited. The device often freezes up.  It happened everyday when I first had it.  AT&T sent a patch that fixed the issue for a while.  Nevertheless, the internet was unreliable and I oten had to restart the connection to get on the internet. The camera and photo quality are the worst I've seen on any phone.  I was really disappointed.  Video is difficult to navigate and not user-friendly. Bubble breaker is great fun and a nice diversion. One annoying attribute is not being able to turn the phone off.  You have to remove the battery which is very inconvenient.  You can turn off the phone service, but not the device itself.  This was frustrating when I took my first plane ride with the device.

Pretty good phone

I bought this Palm Treo smartphone almost three years ago, and it's still going strong to this day.  The phone has never had any problems with dropped calls or interference.  It's one of the original touch screen phones, and has really held up surprisingly well over the years.  It runs on on Windows Mobile, which has been very compatible with with my PC.  I love the ease of the program that transfers information to and from the phone to the PC (called Active Sync).  Active Sync is extremely user friendly.  The phone allows you to transfer .wmv media files, photos, personal contacts, and appointments/calendar information.  I like that you can choose whether or not to save information like contacts to the SIM, or not.  The phone may considered bulky by today's phone standards, but I really still like the appearance of the phone to this day.  This phone has so many features, and I still love it to this day, three years later!

a great phone

I like this Palm Treo because it is like having a mini computer in my hand. This palm is very light and easy to carry in my purse. I keep it in a nice case so that it is protected from any scratches and accidental drops. The palm Treo is nice because it has really fast internet service on it. I can text, and send email very quickly so that my recipient receives the message quickly. This palm has a nice keyboard so that I can type on it easily. I think that the buttons are a little small and so sometimes it is hard to type since my fingers are a little big. This phone has a great camera that I can use to take pictures of interesting objects. The phone also has games on it so that my kids can play games on it. This phone has a lot of memory in it and I can call my friends quickly because it has quick dial on it. This phone was easy to learn how to use and the features on it are nice because they make my life a lot easier.

I have this phone now, i like it, but still will never compare up to my cingular 8125- i loved that phone... until i accidentally ripped out the charging port :( I'ts discontinued and i couldn't find one anywhere- i miss it! the screen was much bigger and it had a pullout keyboard those were t he 2 main difference between the 2 smartphones, everything else is pretty standard. Ever since i started using smartphone that ran on windows mobile i will never go back to another operating system. Oh it seems to freeze more than my cingular 8125

I do not like the 750's windows interface

If this is not your first treo and you previous treo was not window based, good luck trying to convert your address book.  Instead of making things easier treo made it more difficult.  Browsing, emailing and messaging has been upgraded though.
