Palm - Treo 700p Cell Phone Review Summary

Cell phones come with many different features and one cell phone that was designed for those who want the extra bells and whistles is the Palm Treo 700P Cell Phone, a communication device for those who want it all. The Palm Treo 700P Cell Phone offers a convenient size, Bluetooth capability, business tools, touchscreen commands, and the ability to be used as a modem. Reviewers of the Palm Treo 700P Cell Phone like its communication capabilities, but they make comments like “This is a Great Phone but Some of the Options are Crippled”. Well it doesn't have 700 uses but I'm taking literary license. — My daughter owns the Palm Trio 700P. I’m with her enough to be able to provide this review. — The cost — This will vary depending on your provider. She paid $399 with a two year Sprint contract. — … read full review »

Being a busy Real Estate Agent, I found that the Palm Treo 700p was too complicated. If I was to show a house and needed to call my husband or 911 for help, quickly, with this phone, would not be possible. — The touch screen did not work efficiantly. Even with the little pen gadget they give… read full review »

I have had many cell phones throughout the years.  I am someone who is always wanting the newest gadgets and toys when it comes to technology.  When Palm announced their Treo 700p, I had to check it out. Purchasing the Treo 700p was the best purchase that I made.  I has made my managing my life so much easier.  I don't know how I got by without it in my daily life. The Treo 700p has so many great features that I use including the following: —… read full review »

As a Real Estate agent the Treo is a great convenience because it not only serves as my phone but also as my property entry key & gives me mobile access to MLS listings & other MLS data.  But I have had my Treo 700P (Verizon) since Dec '06 & already had to have it replaced 3 times.  Great that as long as it's under warranty that they will willingly replace it but a major inconvenience to have to be without this crucial piece of equipment for several days at the time for replacement & worries me what will happen once my warranty is up!  But overall I will continue to use it &… read full review »

Ok, I admit it. I never like having a cell phone. I felt like I was on a leash. But then I let loose and purchased the 700p since I was getting a grea deal. Little did I know I would be able to throw nearly everything I lugged around on a daily basis into the trash bin! This puppy is a date book, laptop, phonebook, secretary, mp3 player, alarm clock, camera, and camcorder!! It is even bluetooth enable In my business I need all of these things. Now if I could only get talk to text technology into it...ah heaven. The only drawback is the tiny little buttons for… read full review »

I've had my Treo 700P for over a year and am very happy with it.  I did by a larger after market battery (2400 mah as opposed to the 1800 Mah that it comes with) and have extremely good battery life for surfing the web as well as talk time. —  After a stint of using a Windows based mobile device, it was a relief to come back to the effeciency of the Palm operating system.  Granted, it cannot multitask, but it is far less of a resource hog and more intuitive to use.  — Features that I appreciate include a standard SD card slot that can accomodate up to an 8Gb… read full review »

The 700p: All the right features (almost) — The 700p is identical to the 700w except for the operating system and a few other features. I had experience with other Palm operating systems before purchasing this phone, so I went with the Palm operating system (which comes with the 700p). I should have researched the phones in more detail, however, because the 700p has some differences. With the 700w and Windows operating system the phone can utilize WiFi with a special SD card. The 700p, unfortunately, doesn't have this option for some reason. I would have looked at other phones if I… read full review »

I purchased the Palm Treo 700p phone several months ago to help keep my personal life more organized. I have been working on my MBA, and along with personal and work appointments, it could be difficult to keep everything organized. With the Palm 700p phone I had the ability to check my email on the go, surf the web, though admittedly a more "mobilized" version, and sync my iCal, Address Book, and even picture and other data from my Mac laptop. I have even used the "Documents to Go" feature to take study materials with me to work so I can study on breaks. — Though it is possible to… read full review »

My work provided this phone to me.  I use it for internet, email, making calls, and playing games.  I enjoy the email on this since it is easy to use and allows me to check it while on the go.  Also, the internet is convenient as well as google maps (shows freeways with traffic congestion).  The phone is a bit complicated to learn how to use but I pretty much have the hang of it now.  I like that it has a switch on the top to allow you to instantly put it on silent mode. This is really useful when going into a meeting that way you don't need to mess with going though… read full review »

I own the Palm Treo 700p and have had one version or another for the last five years.  I am a small business owner and I love being able to check all of my e-mail addresses from my phone.  I don't know what people did before text messaging.  Being able to text is invaluable to me when I am in long meetings or places where talking on a cell phone is prohibited.  I have very few dropped calls and I am happy with my service plan.  I do not like touch screens at all, so being able to navigate with the keyboard is a good feature for me.  The only issue that I have had… read full review »

Overall this phone is great. I upgraded from the Treo 650 which I loved except for the phone had an issue where it would lock up either during a text message or while receiving a call. This happened to me several times and I had to take it back to Sprint and exchange it for a new phone. —     My hope was with the upgrade to the 700 that this problem would have been resolved. Much to my dismay the problem still exists. I have not had as many problems with my 700 freezing up and when it has happened so far I have been able to just remove the battery and… read full review »

We use our phones for just about everything. — My husband and I were on our way to a wedding reception and got lost. He pulled out his phone and looked up driving direction on google. The keypad is placed like a computers so it made typing super easy. — We live in the middle of nowhere and with our old phones we couldnt get any reception but this one does great! when my young kids got bored while camping I was even able to let them watch the disney channel on my phone. — The only negative thing I really have to say is that sometimes you have to tilt the screen funny to see… read full review »

It seems that all good phones are not for t-mobile. I mean, the sidekick is cool but a bit childish and so overrated. But then Treo comes with not only a full keypad but a touchscreen!! Does it get any better than that! But alas my misfortune prevails. It is only for Sprint (according to what I have been told). But now to the phone review. It is a sleek pda type phone with a decent camera touchscreen java capabilities with all the features of today's ssmart phones, with bluetooth and data and such. It is completely worth it and compares nicely when up against the blackberry phones. Sprint… read full review »

I love my Palm 700P.  I wanted a phone that would also replace my bulky Palm pilot.  This does the trick and makes staying organized and on time easy.  My only disappointment is the fact that I can not use it in hot spots as the Verizon Wireless salesman told me.  I do not use the data plan enough to spend $45.00 a month on it.  I just wanted it for occassional email and browsing while enjoying my coffee or lunch.  Once I commited to the phone and fell in love with the rest of its features, I figured out this isn't possible and Verizon has a lock… read full review »
