Direct from the halls of high technology comes the Palm- Treo 650 Cell Phone, a communication device that offers multiple functionalities. Users of this phone love it for its Bluetooth capability, good keyboard, and great e-mail and web connectivity. Reviewers also like that they can watch television and listen to music with the Palm- Treo 650 Cell Phone. But there are some mixed feelings, with comments ranging from “You Will Never be Happy With Anything Else” to “I Would Never Recommend This Phone to Anyone”. Best tool that I keep in my pocket! Here's quickly some of the things I love about it:
- I can take pictures, and immediately upload them to my website
- I can watch streaming TV and listen to streaming music
- Movie showtimes are only one click away, so is my email
- When really bored (long trip) I can...

Purchasing a Treo seems like a wonderful idea, especially with it's great design and seemingly endless uses.  However, upon opening and using the phone for a short period of time, I have noted several large deficiencies in the design and operation that are to put it bluntly - very frustrating and render...

I got my Verizon Palm Treo 650 off of ebay for under $40.  I wasn't too happy with the LG VX 8750 I got when I opened my Verizon account. The LG battery life was way too short and using the calendar was a pain so after my girl friend dropped her Treo 650 in her cup of hot tea and it came back to life after drying out for a couple days I took a closer look at it. After familiarizing myself with the controls and finding an affordable app that let me sync it with my iCal, address book, and music on my mac I was sold on it. Low balled a number of Treo 650 auctions on ebay and finally scored a good... read full review »

I used a Treo 650 for 4 years.  It is the MOST durable phone I've ever owned.  I left it on top of my car, someone found it in pieces on the highway, reassembled it and nothing was wrong with it.  I left it outside overnight during the winter and let everything dry the next day and it continued working perfectly.  The web browser is the best as well as the touch screen capability.

In today's world when you can drop most phones once and crack them, the Treo has outlasted them all.

Great phone.  Keeps all my contacts, calendar & to do lists in one place.  One negative is 2 cracked screens, but I have insurance on it & Sprint got me a new phone ASAP.  I like the games & photo options.  The texting is so easy with the full keyboard keypad.  The photo caller ID is great too.  Good phone all around!

I love it, great phone! Email, Web, Calendar, Text, Video, Recorder, Picture, Bluetooth, Internet for you Laptop, Beam, Sync, Real Player, the list goes on and on. Great battery, expanded memory (up to 2gb... good for about 200-300songs). You also have the option of adding additional features like games, Microsoft programs, etc.

The one setback... unlike your regular celly, this treo doesn't have the option to send pictures directly from your phone to another (unless you beam it at close range). You have to literally find out what the carrier of the cell you wish to send a picture to and find...

I can't believe anyone could recommend this phone.  When I got my 6th Treo in 15 months and it crashed within a day - I quit!  I finally went back to just a plain old cell phone. Don't get me wrong - I loved the phone when it worked but I had 6 of them crash on me - most of the time they would just crash and reset over and over and never start up. The 5th and 6th one would reset every time I tried to access the "home" button (which is how one accesses all the applications on the phone).  When I had phones that would work for a period of time, I still had to perform both hard resets and soft... read full review »

I love my Treo 650. Alas, I have heard that the new smartphones will not be supported by the Palm OS (operating system). I prefer the Palm platform to Windows applications-I know that's rare. The full keyboard makes texting a breeze. The internet connection has helped me find the address of a restaurant when visiting DC and then found me directions to it. It is a little heavy, but not too much so. I probably don't even use half the features, mainly it's great to have my calendar, address book, phone all in one. My only con is that lately I've had to reset the phone at least once a week or my incoming... read full review »

The treo 650 is such a fabulous phone. It feels like I am actually holding something in my hand! I had this phone and decided one day to try something new and sleek looking. I got a Krazr KM1. I had it for one week and went back to my treo. It has everything anyone could ever want in a phone. All of your addresses, phone numbers, your calendar in daily, weekly or monthly view. Appointments, alarm clock, games, the internet, bluetooth, a calculator and tons more. There are a gazillion programs you can put on your treo. Applications and games alike. You can read ebooks, it is an MP3 player,... read full review »

There is not a cell phone out there that has been designed to keep face off screen. Is that gross or what? BUT, they do have speaker phone. So if you have to borrow someones phone, you can tap on the speaker icon with the end of your pencil and hold it far enough to keep the ooey of your face.
This Treo is great for multi tasking. If I could change anything on it, it would be the ability to set the time on automatic shut off. Or the abilty to make a call straight from the address book. These are things that may have been fixed with the newer versions.
I think this is a great 'first timers' multi...

I've had this particular phone for 2 and 3/4 years and have never had a problem.  It does crash sometimes but not very often.  That usually happens when I've used about every feature in rapid succession and it over loads the memory.  I've worn out the original battery and had to purchase another one.  Considering I use it daily for a lot of internet items and play games on it while working, I can run down a fully charged battery in 1 day.  However, it's been completely reliable and a joy to have if you can say that about an electronic device.  It works on a Palm OS.  I fear the upgrade to... read full review »

I've been generally pleased with my Treo 650.  I got so that I could synch my calendar at the office and take it with me while traveling.  I'm able to retrieve email, surf the web, and make phone calls with the Treo and don't find I need a laptop when I travel.  The applications suit my needs - and I can always download a new one if needed.  It does occasionally crash and restart on me for no apparent reason, but on the whole I find it convenient and user friendly.

The treo 650 has been a good phone for me, but I have had some problems with it locking up randomly. I have talked to others who own the phone and they seem to have had the same problems. Newer versions don't seem to have this problem.

I love the pda part! I have not even begun to dive into all that is possible, but it has continued to satisfy as I have expanded my use of it.

Maybe this is poor because it is the first model of this Treo. It has a lot of bells and whistles, but I am not satisfied w/the product. People tell me they can't hear me, or that I am breaking up. I hardly get any reception indoors w/this phone. Not sure if it is the phone or Sprint itself. Maybe the newer ones are better.
