Search Amazon.com for Palm - Pre Cell Phone prices |
The Palm Pre, released on June 6th, 2009, is probably one of the best smartphones available today. You can't really call it a phone anymore than you can call a Swiss Army knife a toothpick!
The Pre is carried exclusively by Sprint and has turned out thus far to be the biggest selling device ever offered by the carrier. The device sports a brand new operating system, WebOS, which brings Palm into the 21th century. It has a bright and sharp touchscreen and a slide out full QWERTY keypad. Web browsing and application access are seamless. Add universal search and multitasking capabilities and you...
review »I have been a Palm user since 1996 with the Palm Pilot. Since then, I've had numerous Palm devices. My last one was a Treo 755p on Verizon. I was so excited about the Palm Pre that I bought it on launch day. So far, it has been amazing. I love that you can have multiple apps open and go between them with swipes of your fingers. The form factor is brilliant. You can easily put this in your pocket. It has location services which works great with several apps. For instance, the Where app will detect where you are and offer your theater and restaurant info for that area. It syncs nicely with Gmail...
review »Hooray for Palm! As a 12-year Palm user, I've been defending them ceaselessly while waiting for them to get back to the innovation they were once known for. They have absolutely done it with the Pre. It has so many cool features it's hard to know where to begin. Most important is multitasking - you can have email open and answer a call and look up a phone number and send a twitter message all at the same time. No other smartphone will do that, not even the new iPhone 3GS. The synergy feature that combines multiple calendars, address books and email accounts is also great - I have my work...
review »I upgraded from the previous version Palmto the Palm Pre and was very happy with the easy transition.
What I like most about the palm devices is the touch screen and the all in one phone, calendar, calculator, camera, Google Maps, etc. There are a lot of applications that I use on a daily basis and some I haven't tried yet. My Bluetooth headset works with this phone and I can get my email where ever I am.
Everything was included in the package except the car charger. There was even a soft pouch to keep it in. The optional case is not something I need. On the Palm Pre the keyboard slides down so...
review »It's hard for me to believe I actually have a Palm Pre now. I usually have a cell phone that is a "generation" behind the times. But I have one and it is a wonderful little phone that does so much.
The Palm Pre phone is compact (it's smaller than the I-Phone) and comes with a thick felt pouch and charging plug. This cell phone has a touch screen and gesture area. There is a speaker on the back of the phone and a smaller one on the front. The headset jack is on the top.
Charging: I charged my Palm Pre for two hours last night until it was fully charged. By early afternoon today (the next day) it was...
I have been using my Palm Pre for 14 days now and I must say, I am impressed. I am impressed with all of the features as well as how many features were ignored. We will start with the outside.
At first glance, the Pre is an attractive phone. Very sleek and shiny with smooth corners and a huge screen. I pulled it out of the box and the first thing I noticed was how quickly it collected fingerprints. I had only held it and turned it over in my hand once. It looked like I had used it all day. I slid the keyboard down and was less than impressed with the slide mechanism. It felt almost...
review »I just recently purchased the Palm Pre from Sprint Wireless. I have been anticipating purchasing the pre for a while but was restricted due to my contract. All I have to say is that since I purchased the phone it has been awesome. I love the sleek design. I love the multi-tasking available on the phone and being able to sync between multiple social networks. The only drawback is that sometimes the information on the social networks are not consistent with each other. This creates a problem when looking up contact information. But all in all, the ability to sync various things is great. ...
review »This is not your average smart phone. Its like having a laptop put into a very well design cell phone. It comes with plam's new software, which is easy to use from day one. It also allows you to run many programs at once. This makes the phone so much better when your on the run and have to get work done quickly. the touch screen help make the internet fun to use and great for playing games. But this phone also comes with a pull out keyboard. this is the one feature that makes this phone great for work. you can type with ease and fast , just like typing on a on a laptop. It comes only on sprint...
review »This phone is great, has a good OS, photos are top quality and texting is great. You can send photos by text or email, surf the web, use GPS, maps add bookmarks and webpages. The memory is more than some computers, browsing is fast and I have never had a problem not being able to use internet anywhere. Phone service is great. I am not the most tech savy but this phone would be good for someone who is and also easy enough to use for someone who isn't. If you are on the fence go ahead and get.
The Palm Pre might be the best cell phone/smart phone that I have ever used. Besides the phone's ability to multitask, the ability to sync all of your contact information, as well as calendars is amazing. I love how the phone backs up all your information on your online profile, that means that no matter what the information stored on your phone can be restored if something happens to your phone!
I've had too many cell/smart phones over the years, and I can honestly say this is the best yet. This thing does everything and has the best OS I've ever seen, even in comparison to the iPhone. I highly recommend this product for the tech savvy or entry level, as it's easy to navigate and use.
Overall, it's a good phone. Takes great pictures. Lacking video camera and unable to forward messages.
