One of the most interesting discoveries we have made in the last few years has been the PAIN IS GOOD line of mixes and sauces.

One of the more unique items we have tried from the PAIN IS GOOD line is the Jamaican Bloody Mary Mix.

This mix combines the traditional Bloody Mary flavorings with the zing and BAM of Jamaican spice and heat.

Although we tend to make our mixes for drinks fresh, there are times when we have to fall back on cooked and preserved things so PAIN IS GOOD JAMAICAN BLOODY MARY MIX is a nice thing to have on hand. The Jamaican Jerk twist on the Bloody Mary is a really nice change.

The one thing I am not as fond of as I would like is that it tends to be a bit heavy on the celery seed flavoring which I think competes for the Jamaican twist, but I still like it very much.

INGREDIENTS

I
ngredients: Tomato juice, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, pepper sauce, celery seasoning, lemon juice, beef flavoring, jerk seasoning and spices.

WHAT WE USE THIS MIX FOR

Besides the traditional Bloody Mary mix, we have used this mix for spicing up fresh tomato juice, on eggs (on the rare occasion we have any), in salad dressings, on baked potatoes, mixed in various V-8 type vegetable juices we make fresh, in macaroni salad, or even a splash in fresh pineapple juice or smoothie is interesting too.

Of course, we have also used it in the past with organic vodka to add to a fresh tomato bloody mary drink, and also on its own, but I prefer the fresh added to it.

We do not drink alcohol much at all anymore, so I tend to use this mix for non-alcoholic beverage mixes still- I tend to like them better anyway. Alcohol has a tendency to make things taste bitter anyway.

Also, I am not sure if the beef flavoring used in this is actually BEEF or just made to taste like it.  I have a few flavoring mixes that are beef flavoring but are vegan.

WHERE TO FIND MORE INFORMATION

You can find out more about this product here:

www.originaljuan.com

We got a bottle with 27 oz of mix in it for about $4. It is quite flavorful and concentrated so a little goes a long way.

Hard to believe, of all the liquor I've had over the years, I've never had a Bloody Mary. And, we all know you can spruce up just about anything, to include roadkill, with a little Worcestershire sauce!! Nice review!
