Paddington Station - Albion, MI Review

Paddington Station - This little store next to the Hardware Store in Albion has a great mix of goods. Starting with clothes for men, women and children, to jewelry, - both fashion and "real" - to school supplies, home deco articles and practical items, Paddington Station presents itself as an upscale flea market store.

There are many different styles of decorator items from all over the world, and even the odd antique or two can be found here. According to owner Nancy, everything is for sale, even the furniture.

Booths are for rent at agreeable prices by the day, week or month for those who want to try out having a :"flea market" space themselves. And it is recommended that you come at least once a week to browse since items on display change constantly.

Looking for candles? Perhaps missing a piece of a special pattern of your dinner service? Need a new claspon your necklace repaired? You once saw a special decorator item but did not get it and now you decided you would like to have it after all? Looking to add to your collection of bears? angels? pottery? If Paddington Station does not have it, the nice people there will try very hard to find it for you.

And the prices are truly ridiculous! There are only a few jewelry items (the "real": ones) that are more than $100. Most everything can be had for $10 or less. Paddington Station sports the Practical Booth where everything is $1.00.... And you can always ask if this is a firm price, or you can make an offer. More often than not, it will be accepted.

I very much recommend checking it out - it will be worth your while, and you can always have a nice chat with the owner whenever you visit.
