I found PacificGeek when looking for some "geeky" stuff for a friend of mine. I thought I had hit the gold jackpot whenn I found them. Boy was I wrong. The website seems great at first, reasonable prices, affordable shipping, great selection and promises of quick delivery. Turns out all of those are pipe dreams. The order that I placed months ago never arrived, nor was it reimbursed. I have sent several emails and made several calls and have yet to make any progress with this problem. I placed my order in November of 2014, and its nearing the end of February 2015, and only one email has been returned. It was a horrible experience all the way around. Ease of Use The design and layout isn't horrible, but the questions ease of use could be a lot better for sure. Product Pricing If I ever got products that I had ordered than the pricing would of been much better, but since I paid and never got the actual product it's pretty much a ripoff.

PacificGeek is a THIEF

PacificGeek is fraud and thief. I paid them USD 560.00, I've been waiting for 4 months and they haven't shipped , they don't reply to email, phone is never answered. WARNING: You guys must stay away from PacificGeek ... or they will rob your money without mercy.

BEWARE

1

I purchased a Grade B Dell Laptop from Pacific Geek.  After waiting nearly 3 weeks for shipping information, I emailed their customer service.  The first two emails went unanswered.  The third email I sent, now nearly a month since I place the order, I told them I would be cancelling the charge on my credit card if I did not hear back from them.  The next day I received an email telling me it would ship that day or the next.  I received the laptop a week later and about twenty minutes after turning it on it shut itself off.  I could not get it to stay on more than twenty minutes ever with it on a cooling fan.  I then contacted them about returning the defective laptop.  BEWARE; they will not pay for return shipping even on defective merchandise.  I had to pay to return the laptop to them and they deducted their cost of shipping out of my refund.  So I'm out $30+ bucks for their defective laptop.  I would not recommend taking a chance with them unless you're willing to throw your money away.

I wish I were a bigger geek. This site is SO geek friendly!

**Quick View** I wish I were more of a geek because **Pacific Geek** is a great site. But I have no idea what half the stuff they sell is! Still, you can't beat the prices and shipping and my orders have been just fine. **Full View** So many electronics sites are scams. They upsell you and bait and switch. Not so with **Pacific Geek** (www.pacificgeek.com). This liquidation site sells tons of electronics and accessories - some new, some refurbished, some seconds, some used - at amazingly low prices. They don't try to pull any funny stuff either. You order, you pay, you get your order as described. They have just signed with several affiliates to sell overstocked, off lease, excess, refurbished, new and used computers and parts so the site will be expanding even more soon. **My Experience** The site isn't pretty. It has just so much STUFF on it to look at. There are accessories for every type of electronic, computers and parts, printers, cameras and accessories, any media you can think of and accessories, the list of a very long one. They have two for one sales, fill your cart for $4.99 shipping sales, Nooners which are one great item posted at noon daily for a very deep discount and sold until the stock runs out, and loads of free shipping items. You never have to pay more than $4.99 for shipping. I get emails almost daily (I signed up for them) with great promotions and money off codes. My problem is, I don't know what the heck I need. I mean, I need a cable that goes from the back of my son's monitor to the computer. There are a billion cables. Male to female, 15 pin, extenders...I have no idea what the thing I need is called so I can't find it although it is there on that site I am sure. They do have live help from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST which I guess I should take advantage of. They also have a daily free item. You get it for just the cost or shipping. That is when I started my foray into **Pacific Geek**. They had a bunch of Dell keyboards and mice they were giving away so I got three sets. I have no idea why. They were free. That's the only explanation. I wasn't given any sort of runaround. I ordered and paid just for shipping and my stuff arrived not so neatly packed but in fine shape. Since, I have bought things like memory for my younger son's computer, a carrying case, a cooling fan for my laptop, and other smaller items and never had any issues at all. Everything went smoothly. Now, if I could find a printer cable and that cable for the monitor, life would be grand. I just don't know how to search for it. I get a zillion results. I had no idea there were even that many cables made in the world. But I digress, if I were a bit geekier, I would be on this site constantly. My older son built an entire computer from parts he bought at **Pacific Geek** and it is amazing. He is obviously a bit more savvy than I in the computer area (but he doesn't know a blush from a lipstick, so there!). He had no issues with ordering, quality, or shipping. He was never baited and switched and he got exactly what was described. The only thing he mentioned was that packing could be a little better with delicate computer parts although nothing was defective. **My Viewpoint** If you need accessories for anything electronic or want low priced electronic gadgets or systems, try **Pacific Geek**. Read carefully to be sure you know whether you are buying refurbed stuff or new. Their descriptions are very detailed. If you sign up for their newsletters, you will get many money saving opportunities and codes. While this site confuses me, I still think it's a really good one for low priced geeky stuff. ***I give it 4 stars***. I wish it was a TAD easier for us non-geeks to find what we need and I wish packing was a little better. Still, all my experiences have been fine as were all my son's. Just read carefully so you don't end up with something refurbished that you expected new or something similar and you should have no issues with **Pacific Geek**.
