My husband and I bought this treadmill in December 2007 and use it in our basement. My husband uses it much more frequently than I do because I have a gym membership with a friend (we go after work on our way home). I do, however, use the treadmill on the weekends when I am at home. This was not a cheap treadmill. It is gym quality and we certainly paid for that quality. But with that price comes the assurance that we can run on it and not worry about it breaking three months after we bought it. I appreciate that it comes with the chest strap to monitor heartrate because that means I can swing my arms and/or pump some iron (small hand weights) while walking. It is a bit louder than I would have wanted. In order to watch TV while on the treadmill, we have to turn the volume up quite loud, so the basement door needs to be kept shut so as not to disturb others in the house. I also wish the reading rack was a bit more substantial...I can't seem to read anything more than a magazine on it. Overall, this was a great investment in our health and well-being.
