PUR flavor options faucet Review

I hate water. It tastes gross. I will tolerate flavored bottled water if I am really thirsty. I do not like lemon or lime juice in water. I do not like Crystal Light. But I love the water from the Pur Flavor Options filter that comes out of my faucet!

The Pur Flavor Options faucet mount comes in silver and attaches to almost any faucet with no tools.It comes with a few different connectors, so you should get the right one in the starter kit. I don't consider that I have a faucet of an unusual size, but my husband over-tightened the connector and broke it. So far, it's been impossible to find the right one at a local hardware store. That's my only complaint with this product. It's also large and bulky which may annoy some people. Once you figure out how to navigate around it to wash the dishes, it's ok.

The starter pack comes with the faucet mount and hardware, a filter, and a raspberry flavor options cartridge. It's not cheap. The filters filter 100 gallons of water. I don't have the figures on it, but it's probably cheaper than buying bottled flavored water. There's an indicator light on the faucet mount. It goes from green to yellow to red. It stays on yellow for a while, so you have ample time to go get a new filter. It also has a switch. You can use the filter for drinking water, or switch to regular tap water for cleaning.

The flavor options cartridges are good for 75 squirts. There is no sugar, calories, or dyes in the flavors. The flavors are: strawberry, peach, raspberry, lemon, and grape. I have tried all but the grape. True to form, I only like the lemon and will tolerate the peach. My husband loves all the flavors. But it's OK if we like different flavors because the flavor cartridges are easy to switch out. You may think that my hatred of water requires me to load up on the flavor shots. I use two shots in a twelve-ounce glass, so it's not that bad.

I love this lemony water. It really masks the taste of water without being overwhelming. If you want it to be overwhelming use more flavor shots. Acid in soda, Kool-Aid, Crystal Light, and juices can eat the enamel off your teeth. Trust me, I know. Besides, water is good for you and those other things don't do a great job at keeping you hydrated. Since I am a human, I have to drink water. Pur Flavor Options is the only way that's going to happen.

You can go to purwater.com and they will mail you coupons for both the faucet mount and extra flavor cartridges, so that will take some of the sting out of the initial purchase. I highly recommend this product.
