  I order from Petco.com at least once every 2 months and I love Petco.  It really does seem to have everything you could need and the sale prices online are amazing.  Sign-up for their  P.A.L.S. membership at any PetCo store (it's free), and you receive incredible discounts, free food, free grooming, etc...  Today was the 1st time I ever went into an actual PetCo store (I have always ordered online), and I was very impressed with the set-up and love the fact that you can bring your pet in with you.  The only thing I did notice that would keep me purchasing… read full review »

 I assume all of us like to make our pets as comfortable as we can without breaking the bank. We try to find the best store for our individual pet needs. Petco is were the people go for there pets there are great we just got one near my home and the bark bar is great they have cookies and crackers for your dogs it's great they are a little higher than some of your other pet stores but you get somethings here you can't get at every petstore my dog just loves the cookes they even have creme filling in one there his favorite they have chocolate chip animal crackers and lots for if you have one near your home and you have never been go they do all the holiday colors in the cookies as well they have all the other stuff ever other pet store has as… read full review »

Petco has a huge selection of products for just about any type of animal you can think of.  I get virtually all my supplies there for my dog, cats and my daughter's snake.  I personally like that the store is convenient, only a few blocks from my home, and that they allow you to bring your pets into the store.  I don't actually bring my dog specifically to go there, but it's nice to be able to stop on the way home to pick some things up and bring the dog in, as I don't want to leave him in the car. — On the downside, their prices are very high.  Definitely look for… read full review »

I go to PETCO to have my Llasa Apsa groomed and they do a wonderful job.  The price is very reasonable so I wouldn't change a thing about their grooming salon.  You also earn 1 free groom for every 8 times you pay for it.  I do however have a problem with their dog food and treats.  Their prices are incredibly high compared to the supermarket. I go to my Giant food store and I pay about $2.50 for Beggin Strips.  Petco charges $4.99 for the exact same 6 oz bag.  I buy Nawsomes for about $2.99 at Giant food store but Petco charges an astounding $6.09 for the same… read full review »

Be very wary of buying pets here! I have visited some pretty atrocious stores in many different cities that would scare anyone who knows how to properly care for the animals they sell (and maybe some who don't)! They seem to frequently give out advice that promotes items they sell, regardless of the safety of the item to your pet. PETCO has been a wonderful pet supply store. It carries a wide selection of products for your pet & the staff has always been very helpful & knowledgeable. PETCO has also been very generous to the local rescues and willing to help with donations of product which might be why their overall prices are on the upper end of cost. With multiple dogs, going to the vet for routine innoculations can run me over $500, but a couple years ago, I discovered the PetCo Vet clinics.  Usually scheduled once per month at each PetCo facility, and usually posted at the front of the store for dates and times...I discovered that I was saving in excess of 60% on the routine innoculations, which means that you have more money to attend to other pet needs, or if a pet emergency arises.   By no means have I abandoned my local vet, but I can't afford to take the animals in for extra things like teeth cleaning if the shots… read full review »

Most of the reviews here contradict what you will read at other review sites and if you pay attention to what you really encounter at a petco.... To sum up a long list of negatives best consider this... When you find a label that says "New low price!" the truth is that the price has actually been raised. I was labeling food today and notice that the "New low price" for Wellness brand food was 6.00 more expensive. How can a "new low price" be way more expensive.
