PETCO —

I decided I wanted my cat, sozo, to be groomed. I thought it would be a wonderful experience for him. I expected for him to have a nice warm bath with nice smelling shampoos and to be handled great. I also expected they would use a special pedi-paws or something to clip his nails. I paid $65 for him to get a bath and get his nails clipped and painted. I was HORRIFIED at what I saw when I went to pick him up! He looked downright miserable and his paw tufts were cut off and his nails were splintered, not to mention the cut on his hind leg. His nail "polish" was NOT what I expected-it did not cover the whole nail and some nails didn't have any polish on at all! The shampoo was far from nice smelling and sozo hated me. Now he hates to go on any car rides and avoids me as much as he can. It is a couple months now and he is STILL acting that way! Petco grooming is expensive, terrible service, and pretty much the worst mistake you could make for your pet.

FYI- pedipaw sucks and cats' nails can't be filed anyways because their nails split.

how many times do you bath your cat at home and paint the nails? just curious. if the paw tufts were cut off, did they contact a vet? why did you pay. file a lawsuit? doesnt sound like it was too bad because you paid them full price. and you said you saw him like that when you went to pick hime up. i would have called the cops or someone to file an animal cruelty complaint. but you probably didnt because it was not that bad.

I agree with KinKStar, usually if somebody has a problem with grooming, the manager on duty will deeply discount the groom as well as discount the next groom.

Sooo, did you let them know when you were there, or bottle up your disgust and just pay them?
