**Desonide**is the generic name of a low potency topical corticosterod that has been available since the 1970s. It is primarily used to treat atopic dermatitis(eczema), seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis and contact dermatiis in both adults and children and has a fairly good safety profile and is available as a cream, ointment, lotion, and, since September 19, 2006, as a foam under the tradename Verdeso Foam. Used for treating mild to moderate itching, redness, and swelling caused by certain skin conditions. Desonide Cream is a topical corticosteroid. It works by reducing skin inflammation (redness, swelling, itching, and irritation). My expierence with this cream is limited but I use it with my other face creams when I have a big day ahead of me and don't want to look bad. I apply this cream twice a day for one week and it expidites my other cream so I start looking better faster. I was prescribed this while pregnant and still use while breastfeeding My main advice is to follow doctors orders and let the doctor know if you have any problems.
