I live in Michigan. No where near a tropical jungle. I carry this with me when going camping in wooded areas which we have many. It helps clear a camp site, cut poles for a shelter, downsize pieces of wood for a campfire. It's made of good steel and has enough weight to take the work out of swinging it but not so heavy to wear you out. Own one and you'll discover many of its uses.

I'm a machete guy. Some guys are into swords others are into knives. I like a nice machete. In saying this I am thoroughly impressed with the build of this machete that I have purchased additional ones for my friends and family members. In fact, with as many active and retired military members in my family I'll be purchasing quite a few days in order to compliment the family's hiking, camping, and hunting hobbies. Thanks!
