Oysy is my favorite sushi place in Chicago.  Conveniently located near the Mag Mile, but slightly hidden away to keep the crowds away.  They have a large variety of rolls, and they are all good.  They also come beautifully presented, many dramatically accented with brightly colored tobiko (small fish... review »

My wife and I frequent Oysy because, honestly, its the closest Sushi place to our apartment.  It's good dependable sushi served in a semi-trendy atmosphere and not too expensive.  We usually are able to get a seat pretty quickly too.  We've tried some of the non-sushi items before and haven't been... review »

We don't go to sushi very often, but when we do, we go to Oysy. Apart from the difficult-to-pronounce name (OH-EE-SHEE), it's a great sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is very cosy and hip, designed by Chicago architect, Douglas Garafalo.

Oysy has a great lunch special. For about $15 you'll get miso soup, 6 pieces of california rolls, vegetable tempura, egg pancake, and a choice of a main dish that includes tuna, salmon, chicken, steak, and sushi. Perfect for when you want a little bit of everything.

Also not cheap. I wouldn't expect to find a bargain on Michigan Avenue though so I wasn't surprised.
