a chow hound, Sushi Lover, budget conscious
Oysy is my favorite sushi place in Chicago. Conveniently located near the Mag Mile, but slightly hidden away to keep the crowds away. They have a large variety of rolls, and they are all good. They also come beautifully presented, many dramatically accented with brightly colored tobiko (small fish roe). It is relatively inexpensive, compared with other trendy sushi places in the city. The super-white tuna is the best fish to get. The best time to go is weekday lunch, with the $14 lunch special, which includes miso soup, tempura, salad, 3 pieces california…
