Perfect Peeler

neat freak, budget conscious, all for healthy snacks and foods, like to try new products, a woman, health conscious, a healthy cook, into trying new things

I am vegetarian so I do a lot of cooking, especially with vegetables. This carrot peeler is perfect for all of my veggie preparation and works so well in the kitchen. What I love most about this peeler is the easy gripping. The handle won't slip in your hands so it is really easy to use. This is great for carrots because it peels fast and efficiently. The first carrot I tried was a large raw carrot and it had no problem peeling the entire vegetable in minutes. It works great on uneven surfaces and won't slip as you peel. I really like the Oxo Carrot Peeler. It not only peels carrots, but I have used it for potatoes and apples to. It has a handle made for comfortable and easy grip, which I love. It's so easy to clean as well. I'm just amazed at the quality of this Oxo product. I just bought this not long ago. It was a great value for it's price. I would recommend this to all my friends and family who love to cook just as much as I do.

This is, quite simply, the best peeler ever made. :-) I've been a cook for a long time, and my experience with peelers goes back to the old rickety thin metal ones, through various ergonomic versions, and stopped right here at the OXO peeler. The grip is rubber, but just perfect in flexibility and "give". The business end of the peeler is sharp, reliable, and large enough to get the job done without a care. My repetitive stress problems have made other peelers useless for me; the OXO works and doesn't bother my arm, wrist, or hand. I've given these as gifts and highly recommend them.

I have many peelers, at least three. This peeler is great! Its very ergonomic so my hand gets less tired from a lot of peeling....like potatoes! The material used for the handel is extra gripping so I feel safe even letting my 6 year old niece give it a try. It is a very handy kitchen tool because you can peel many fruits and vegatables instead of using a pairing knife which can be dangerous. It even made quick prep for removing mango peel and the zest of an orange, two foods my other peelers always gave me problems with!

I love this peeler. I have gone through so many peelers in my life, being a stay at home mom. Most of them hurt my hands, and simply rust or fall apart within months. I've had my Oxo peeler for 3 years now, and I must say, peeling potatoes and carrots is so much more comfortable now! Its rubberized grip and rust-free blade make peeling a sinch. I have confidence to move quickly without fearing that the thing will fall apart. It's great, and I expect it to continue to perform for years more!

This peeler is the best out there. I have had it for 3 years, and have no complaints. Oxo is a wonderful brand and they have amazing quality with their kitchen gadgets. Whether you have to peel a carrot, potato, apple, or anything else, i always reach for this. It is a great value for its price. If you buy kitchen gadgets for life, this one will last.

The Oxo Carrot Peeler is not only for peeling carrots. I have used it for many other things and it still works great it peels without having to use to much force and it does not peel off the food just the skin. Some of the things I have peeled with it are cucumbers, potatoes, apples and other fruits. Its a good item to keep around the kitchen.

I love this peeler - so much better than those old style metal ones. The handle is comfortable and you can get a good grip. Its great for potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and whatever else you want to peel. With the old style peelers - I always use to end up getting cut -- not so with this peeler.
