Overstock.com — 

After finishing my review for Contempo Kitchen Towels, I realized that I had never reviewed Overstock.com which is where I bought the towels.  How could I have slipped up like that?!!!

Of course, everyone has their own frame of reference and experience to draw on and it may be that some people have been disappointed by the "O" but I have enjoyed shopping there and have found some great deals ... and even some luxuries.  If it weren't for Overstock, I probably would have never been able to buy sets of genuine black pearls for myself and a friend's daughter.  I've bought sheets, pillowcases and pillows there, a beautiful set of kitchen knives, even new living room floor lamps a year ago.

Standard shipping seems to be $2.95 whatever or how much you order, the website is usually easy to use, and a shopper can get either ten MyPoints or 4% (sometimes more) Ebates cash back on each dollar spent.  I must say that I would hesitate to buy a major appliance or really big piece of furniture from Overstock (because I like to look at things like that in person before I make that type of purchase) but as far as I am concerned, the "Big O" is the way to go for a lot of things.

I used to really like Overstock.com but they seem to be getting more expensive lately, at least from what I've seen. There are still some good deals there though.

Oh yah, I know what you mean -- just because it is a discount place doesn't automatically mean everything is a good deal. I usually shop carefully when I'm there and I think I get some extra deal because I may still be part of "Club O" which offers an extra discount. How are you guys doing, Lisa? honestly one of the few popular online shopping services I haven't used -- every time I went there looking for something specific yes the shipping was great -- but the prices were high for the item. great review!

Okay, good for you. I have heard of that flavor but have never tried it. Maybe you should review it. Take it easy and don't try to overdo. I had an unusual "brunch" today -- a dish of that Special K Red Berries and a heated up Jennie-O Turkey Italian Sausage alongside. Sounds wierd but it really hit the spot. To the top banana in my life: I am doing great! May be a little flutter of the love bug, who knows ;+) I will do dialysis tomorrow and now that they have moved the catheters I don't dread it.

I didn't eat eat lunch but I had a 6 oz. thing of Yoplait yogurt. It was pineapple upside-down cake and my favorite flavor thus far! I will be attending 3 alumni basketball games this afternoon/evening at my Christian school and will probably run out and grab a bite to eat with friends b/w 2nd and 3rd games.

The new diet is actually working better than we anticipated but I have lost 3 lbs. in 5 days. My dr. believes that once my body adjusts to the new routine that I will plateau and be okay. She is going to see me back in 2 wks. to ck. the progress. All systems a go for now! Thanks for checking on me.
