— We bought an Over the Shoulder Baby Holder sling when our son was three months old. We purchased this because it is adjustable enough so that my husband and I can both use it to carry our son around. I needed a little practice with it before being 100% comfortable, but it didn't take long to get used to it. It was great to help our son get to sleep or just soothe him and it is very easy to breastfeed in. The fabric is sturdy, soft, and lightweight enough to wear comfortably in the summer. Great baby carrying tool! More versatile than a Bjorn since it allows newborns to lay down or be upright; they can even be on your back (as toddlers)! It takes a bit of practice to get the positioning right, but the dvd makes it easy to figure out--visual cues are great. Since the loops and fabric are designed for durability and heavy loads, older special needs kids can also be carried in this sling. I have 3 children and this allowed me to hold my baby and still care for my other children. My baby wanted to be held all the time and with this it wasn't a problem. It did take some getting used to, but once you did, it was worth it. Now that he is getting older I can still use my sling and it is so durable that I know I can pass it on or use it for more babies. I love my Over the Shoulder Baby Holder because my baby loves it and it keeps us close. Since he has 'chunky' thighs, it is mush easier to use with him then conventional baby holders that you have to put their legs through. This is a very durable item and can be used with toddlers as well as newborns so it is a good investment. This is a very unique product that is great for multiple chilrdren, or moms on the go. You can hold the baby in several positions and have your hands free. I was even able to breastfeed hands free! This is a great product espically if you have more than one child. Carrying your child in this sling leaves your hands free to do other things.
