Over the Shoulder Baby Holder Baby Sling/Wrap —

When I had my first baby, the "it" store for breastfeeding clothing recommended Over the Shoulder Baby Holder.  I naively bought one, not knowing much about baby wearing.  After she was born, I tried wearing her/it and it was SO HOT (texas) and felt really awkward having the big padded rails rubbing my neck.  Somehow I heard about Maya Wraps and ordered one--what a difference!  They were so beautiful and comfortable, and so easy to use.  Getting baby in and out was a breeze, and she also found it comfortable:  she was closer to my body and it allowed her to easily "mold" to me.  I bought another Maya Wrap, then started experimenting with other unpadded ring slings.  I found http://www.sleepingbaby.net, a mom who makes CUSTOM ring slings with a unique fold that really helps the sling spread out over your back, thus making it even easier to carry heavier weights.  By the time my 2nd daughter was 2, I had 12 slings.  I had looong given away the first, neck-rubbing, bulky, uncomfortable Over the Shoulder Baby Holder.
