Most engaging character fiction I've ever read.

reading non-fiction, a fiction reader, avid reader, an avid reader, re-reading the classics, a sci-fi buff

twisty plot, very readable style of writing, tons of correct historical references, very long, characters come to life, full of romance, lots of action, lots of details

some foul language, Adult situations

Outlander, Diana Gabaldon's first novel in the series, is captivating. This book is the perfect mix of romance, fantasy, science fiction and drama. Every scene, every event is so well described, you feel as though you are there. Gabaldon has all the descriptive powers of Dickens, without the archaic language. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes to read novels of any kind.
