If you are interested in becoming a member, we would greatly appreciate your input. Members assist with physical donations such as appliques, blanks threads, offer their time sewing, crocheting and knitting etc. As well as assisting in fundraising and obtaining donations by letter writing. We are desperate for supplies- it is just beyond the means of our youth to purchase these items- the young people in our group are often in state institutions and have been abandoned by family members who found their disabilities to be all too overwhelming. Would there be any way you might be able to find in it in your hearts to become a part of our organization?
Current programs include
Big Sister Program - you are matched with one of the Special Angels, and write them as you have time - we ask that you make a strong commitment and write to your Angel on once a week, and send them a monthly care package, that package may be something personal or something to help with their current projects -WE HAVE ANGELS WAITING MONTHS FOR BIG SISTERS PLEASE JOIN UAS AND MAKE A SPECIAL NEW FRIEND!
Quarterly Challenges - a theme is set each quarter - focusing members on making items for upcoming craft fairs which the angels organize and work - teaching them important job skills and leadership training.
