Osteria Via Stato is a casually elegant Italian restaurant in the heart of Chicago. When you walk in the door, you do feel that you've crossed country borders. I've been to Italy, and this Italian-inspired restaurant certainly has the charm of a European eatery.
I joined the crew from Viewpoints at Osteria Via Stato after he Viewpoints Launch Party last week, and I'm certainly glad that I did even if I don't typically eat so late. I think it was close 1 a.m. North Carolina time by the time we finished up our delicous meal.

First, the location is great if you are at a nearby hotel. Also the restaurant is attached to a hotel. If you live in Chicago, get ready to valet park or search for parking for a while. The decor is very nice; arched ceilings and lots of rustic wood. Our server was top notch. I have to say, she made it an even better experience.
