I purchased my Oster Rice Cooker and Steamer and I have had a chance to use it several times to make different types of rice and I love it.  I have always cooked my rice in a pot over the stove, I learned to do so from my mother.  When I got married my husband convinced me to try it out, especially since we were getting a name brand product for such a deal, you have got to love Macys.  I cannot imagine cooking rice over the stove again.  I have modified the quantities is calls for in making sushi rice but other than that the rice comes out perfect.  And brown rice, which takes at least twenty...

The Oster Rice Cooker Deluxe is a necessity if you enjoy rice.  It's very easy and fast to use.  It will cook your rice while you cook the rest of your meal.  If you like steamed vegetables, this works perfectly.  This rice cooker has a timer, so everything comes out just perfect.  I've tried other rice cookers, but this one seems to cook the rice just the way I like it.  The rice is moist and not too dry.  It also cooks lots of rice for a large group of people, or you can cook extra and freeze the rice for later meals.  If you use the rice cooker as a steamer, you can use the leftover...

It is a bleesing in disguise when it comes to preparing that perfect rice just like u get at a restuarant. I use to hate making rice because it would never be right it would be overcooked or undercooked. But now with Rice Cooker I don't mind because it makes life so much easier when it comes to making that perfect rice. Thanks

My visions of easy rice making did not come true. This thing torches the rice every time. Adjusting water amounts and rice amounts did not make any difference. Rinsing the rice turned it into wall paper paste.
