This Oster food steamer is so much more than a rice cooker because you can cook just about everything in it .The rice bowl doubles as a cooking bowl for steaming  fish with sauces or marinade. all you do is put the fish in the rice bowl add your favorite sauce or marinade cover and cook ,

What is really nice is you can set all this up and set the cooking timer to start cooking the fish automatically . so if you want your fish or other food to marinate for 3 hours you put it all together and set the timer to start cooking after 3 hours .

Also this come with a keep warm feature so your food is kept warm for up to 1 hour after cook time is finished .

I also like the left over feature for bread or roles or any kind of leftover food that needs refreshing or warmed up. I know its not as fast as just popping it in the microwave but bread is really hard to get right in the microwave , in this steamer is done right every time.bread comes out like it was just baked .you just put the role in the rice basket cover with tin foil and steam for about 10 minuits or less depending .

you can cook 8 hardboiled eggs in this unit and they are all perfect and the shells just fall off the egg no sticky hard to remove shells.
