Oster Oster 10 Speed Blender White Review

I have this same blender in a clear red plastic base. The bottom tends to leak liquid and the plastic container doesn't rest very securely in the motorized base. Mechanical failures aside, the plastic pitcher doesn't clean well- I mostly used this blender for smoothies and found that, no matter how much I scrubbed, the pitcher always had gross fruit bits stuck to the plastic. Don't waste your time or money on this thing. I'm throwing mine out and buying a model with a glass pitcher and more reliability. It was not what i expected, and i would not reccomend it at all. Another complaint is that the lid of the blender is very poorly made and warped in the dishwasher. Also, the middle part of the lid fell into the blender and was pureed into my soup while I was blending it. That's a major design flaw.

It finally died after about 4 years of fairly heavy usage. The motor still works, but the stem that spins snapped off. Instead of replacing it though, i am going to go buy a better one, that will work well for me.
