This microwave is complicated to use.

looking for durability, value conscious, willing to pay for quality, practical

This new Oster microwave is harder to use than our last microwave, which we've had since about the 1970's. The door is heavy, hard to open (pulls the whole microwave forward towards the edge of the shelf) and hard to close (one has to push hard to close it). The turntable falls easily off its track, even when one is trying to put a plate or glass in. It is hard to figure out how to set the clock. It is difficult to figure out how to set cook power and time. Also, the power on the microwave has shut down several times for no apparent reason (no general power outage at the time) for several minutes at a time, which causes the clock to be required to be reset.

YES! The thing's interior clock/chip is nuts. It resets time sometimes, and shuts down after 2-3 minutes with no reason, e.g., regardless of power setting or other appliances on or off, heat of the room, etc. Must be a chronic flaw! Shame, for it's a good unit WHEN IT WORKED months ago.

I have the same Oster Microwave & Grill oven, which has the exact same symptom. When opening the door, the entire oven moves forward, and you really need to slam the door shut to close. Also the timer only has increments in multiples of 10. So if you want to microwave something for 25 seconds, you can't. The only option would be 20 or 30 seconds.
