My wife and I received this particular item as an anniversary gift. When we got it I didn't think much of it due to it's size, we left the mixer in it's original package for almost two months before opening it. Once we had tried the mixer we regretted having not tried it out before. The Little Oster hand mixer is very powerful and fast. I was surprised at just how much power and torque this unit has. It has a very easy to grip shape. Ease of use is highly important in my household as I myself have terrible arthritis and my wife has had a stroke. we try to find as many of our household items to fit into these needs as we can. I am very pleased with the product, since starting to use it we use it almost everyday at some point for some reason. Mixing Performance The performance of the mixer is awesome it is very powerful for such a small unit, it's easy to maneuver, unlike a lot of the stand mounted mixers. Ease of Cleaning This product is very easy to clean , I do wish it could be broken down even further for cleaning. Ease of Use This mixer is super easy to use, the controls are easy to reach and read while in use Design I like the overall design of this product it looks nice and is small enough to store easily. Durability So far this mixer has been extremely durable, we use it quiet often and I have dropped it several times without incident.

A powerful hand mixer.  I am very happy with the power and ease of use of this mixer.  I have looked at smaller ones, but knew they wouldn't do all I needed.  I can use this for whipping mashed potatoes, or whipping up egg whites.  I love to use it when I make a quick cake mix, or box of instant pudding. It is quite comfortable in your hand and very lightweight.  The range of speeds are excellent, they go from a gentle mix to all out whipping speed.  I have a stand mixer, but it is heavy and awkward for everyday or even weekend use.  This is an excellent replacement.  It is very portable and can be used anywhere in my kitchen counter-space.  I love the cord length as it is long enough to reach from my outlets to my entire counter-space.  I can even plug it in and reach to my kitchen table, if kitchen is really cluttered. ( I cann't do that with my Kitchen-Aide). All in all I am very happy with this mixer, as opposed to the smaller and weaker versions.

This hand mixer was received as a wedding gift and it has done well for my cooking/baking needs (which are fairly light). It comes with two sets of wire beaters - one is the standard and one is a thin blade for whipping I believe. There are several different speed settings that are easily adjusted with just one hand while the mixer is going and the mixer is easy to control. The blades pull out easily when you are done but remain steady during the mixing process. The only two complaints I have are minor and are as follows: 1- the mixer sometimes makes a high pitched whining noise when in use 2- it can be difficult to get all of the food material off the beaters after mixing but I believe this is so with any hand mixer This mixer is good for the price and does what it claims to do - nothing super fancy but meets basic cooking/baking needs.

the oster hand mizer is the best that I have found available for it's price.  It is very moderatley priced but has all of the settings that I need.  The dial has 6 speed settings that are easy to adjust and a release button for releasing the spinners.  The spinners are chrome and they do not stain or tarnish easily.  The entire product is well made.  The spinners are dishwasher safe and the rest of the mixerI can clean in my sink.  The mixer also comes with a wrap around container to place the blades in after for easy storage and there is also a place to wrap the cord and place it.  As far as the 6 speed settigns, I have found them all to be useful and accurate.  Even the highest setting does not results in a great deal of splatter.  The mixer is easy to hold and grip and does not vibrate while holding it.  The mixer is not noisy and does not clang when rubbed up against the side of a bowl or container.
