I have owned many, many blenders in my search for the perfect blender. My search ended about ten years ago with this awesome find! I'd never owned an Oster product before, but I saw this in the store and had to have it. I just knew it was going to be awesome! I use this for everything from making smoothies, to breadcrumbs, to pureeing soups and applesauce. This thing does everything perfectly! I have used this blender at least once a week for the past ten years and have never, ever had a single problem. It is the best blender I have ever owned or used. The blender chamber is spacious (I usually fill it only 3/4 of the way full to allow room for the contents to move around). And the lid fits very snuggly. I've used this to make smoothies (there's a great menu where you just select what you're making and it automatically knows how long to process everything) and it goes right through ice and frozen fruit with no problem. I've also used this with hot soups and applesauce fresh from the pot. It handles these super hot liquids perfectly and produces an amazing result. I usually use the Baby Food setting to get a perfectly smooth, silky applesauce or soup. There are no lumps here! I really cannot recommend this enough! I simply love mine and if you're looking for a heavy duty yet simple to use blender this is for you!

This blender is amazing. It was a wedding gift almost 6 years ago... the marriage didn't last,but the blender did! I love that it is capable of being a food processor and blender all in one. I can push a button and know it will do exactly what it is suppose to do! The canister is very heavy duty glass, I have dropped it and it has not broken, though I would not recommend dropping glass often! The only problem I have is that every time I have ever used it, it has a slight burning smell coming from the motor. Obvioiusly it still works, 6 years and going strong, so not really sure what the smell is coming from. It is not going to stop me from using it. It is very powerful, so strong that I do not always let it run for the full time each program alots. It does sometimes seem like an overkill to chop food until there is not a fiber left! I actually used it to liquify timothy hay the other day, I have a sick rabbit and needed to syringe feed her. It actally worked! Great prodcut! I love it!
