I guess you get what you pay for. When I first got married we needed a hand mixer and of course we went to walmart because that is the cheapest place to get items for your home, right? The problem is that a lot of the stuff there isn't high quality so it doesn't do a good job such as this hand mixer. It mixes ok for thin mixes however as soon as you get an density to them you can smell the heat coming from the over working motor inside the machine. It is also very loud for something so small. The extra attachments you would think would help you more but they don't do what you want them to, at least they didn't for me. The beaters also don't click in very well to the machine and I worry about them coming out mid-mix. One can get stuck often too which is really annoying. I would recommend a kitchen aid over an oster any day. I got a new one a few months a go and am much more pleased with it's performance. The cord on this one is also really short which can create problems if you don't have a ton of outlets or counter space.

I had this mixer, for a little while. Notice I say "had." It did not give me any issues for the first several months I had it, but then one night, while I was in the middle of a baking project, it just quit on me and would not come back on. It was kind of frustrating, because up to that point it had never given me any real issues. It did work true to speed (varied a noticeable degree between the various settings) and did not seem to have any problems with quickly and efficiently blending a large variety of textures and consistencies. It was a very cheap price, and worth that amount of money, so I wasn't too upset about losing it except for the inconvenience of when it decided to stop working (I had to go to the store in the middle of the night to get a new one, because I had gotten too far in the recipe to turn back). That said, maybe I just got a bad motor or something in the one that I owned; it's hard to know, because I did not re-purchase the same model when I went back for a new one.

I got this as a Christmas present last year and I absolutely love it! To be totally honest I replaced an expensive Sunbeam mixer with this product! I was kind of skeptical at first because it didn't look as nice as others but this little thing is amazing! The speed settings are much more accurate to the speed you're looking to get than other brands. I like that mine came with different attachments and that makes it even better when doing all sorts of things. Whether you're mixing cake mixes or kneading dough this little mixer is wonderful! Mixing Performance This mixer is more accurate on speed settings than any I've ever owned. It doesn't bog down like others I've used when kneading dough. Great little mixer for the price! Ease of Cleaning This thing is a breeze to clean and store! The ends pop right off and you can throw them in the dishwasher or hand wash them with ease. As far as cleaning the mixer itself, I always just run a dishrag over it and it's done! Ease of Use Everything is self explanatory with this mixer. Plug it in, turn it on and mix! Design This was the least favorite part of this mixer for me. I didn't really love the look of it but I will say it's rather comfortable holding it so that makes up for the look! Durability Speed seems so much more reliable than other mixers. Doesn't seem to be bogged down by thicker items like some of the other mixers.
