If you like fresh baked bread but don't always have time to make it the old fashion way, then the Oster Bread Machine ExpressBake is the bread machine for you. You simply select a bread recipe from the booklet sent to you. There are 26 bread recipes, from regular to whole wheat and even sweet breads, as well as nine dough setting recipes (including three jam recipes).
Once you select your recipe, you add the ingredients in the order presented, then pop the pan back into the bread machine, select your style of bread, the crust type you like, and push start. Nothing else to do (unless you want to add nuts or something like that) until the bread is done. Voila, a 1 1/2 to 2 pound loaf of bread.
A regular loaf of bread takes about three hours from start to finish. This is the BASIC setting and it kneads the bread, does the rising, kneads again, rises again, "punch down", third rise and bakes. All on it's own.
The whole wheat and frech settings take a little under four hours to complete. Where as the express setting takes less than an hour. So, if you forget to put the loaf on earlier in the day, you can come home, put on the bread machine and have bread finished baking by the time dinner is done.
