This is quite a good product and I would definitely recommend it. I have always found the Oster brand to be quite reliable, as well as fairly priced. This blender is efficient and does the job for whatever use you may need it for. I have blended pretty much everything from fruit smoothies to cocktails to my own version of Italian ice. . The product is also very easy to use and operate. I also like the fact that it is very easy to clean. This blender is also very durable - again, something I have found to be the case in all the Oster products I have used over the years. I have had my blender for over a year now and I have to admit I am pretty rough in it. I use it at least three times per week and I also dropped it once and thankfully, it did not break. I believe I will have this product for a long time. I also noticed that the blades did not bend at all, which has been something that has always irritated me with blenders I have owned and used in the past. You would notice the blades getting all bent and then of course they would not perform as well. Overall I would recommend this product if you are looking for an efficient, durable and easy to use blender that will be around for quite some time!

I bought this blender at Kohls (I had Kohls cash) to replace the one that died. I have it in red to match my kitchen and I love it. I couldn't have picked a better blender. I love that it has stainless steel blades and it's glass not plastic. Over all it is just the best blender and I would recommend it to anyone who asks or needs a new blender. Blending Power The blending power is awesome. I haven't had any issues with it not crushing ice. All the ice is crushed within minutes. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning is super easy as you can take it all apart to clean. The blades come out and the lid comes apart to clean the plastic part of it easier as well. I have left it overnight in the refrigerator with stuff in it and the next day went to clean it and had no issues what so ever. Ease of Use Super easy to use. It has different speeds and labels the options right next to the buttons so you just pick one and go. Of course when I first got it I had to test out all the buttons and they all seem to work just great.

As a child I remember my old model Oster blender filled countless hours of boring rainy days by making milkshakes with my dad, health shakes with my mom and "science experiments" with my brother and our friends. I also remember my mom's constant compliments to her counter top blender, all except for the time i forgot to put the top on before I blended There were no compliments that day, just cleaning. I remember the super cool "O" design every time i pushed that big orange button. It chopped up everything my pint size little hands could grab, and so can this new 8 speed I just purchased. All those days passed faster than I could have ever imagined but that old blender survived year after year. Since then my folks have moved, but the one thing that was missing in the boxes was the blender! (yes still going strong after 25 years... I suspect my brother has it in his cabin up North) Who knows how long this one will last, maybe my kids will be bringing it to me in the future when I am grey and retired. I sure hope so.

I had never before possesed or used a blender in my life - I know - backwoods or out of touch. I had heard many things such as -"mine won't chop ice". I got a coupon in the mail for 20% off at one of the local stores and decided I wanted to be able to mix healthy drinks after going to the gym and I had a juicer but, there were things I couldn't mix with the juice such as bannanas or avocado so it was time. I went to check out the blenders and after reading up on several I decided I'd go with Oster as it had 8 speeds, chopped up ice and was a great price for a beginner - it not only works great,was affordable and is easy to use but, there is little or no clean up necessary - just a rinse off.

Maybe i got a bad one I don't know, but I didn't like this blender much and have sinced replaced with another one. The price is excellent and my family had bought this brand over the years, so that is why I purchsed it. I find that when using ice or frozen ingredients, I have to stir it a bit because everything gets stuck in the blades or on the sides.Often things don't mix well, mind you we make a lot of smoothies and use frozen fruit a lot, so maybe this blender just wasn't for me. I also find the entire blender a bit flimsy, it looks and feels a bit plasticy. I also didn't like the fact that the cord is really short. This was problem because I don't have out lets everywhere in my kitchen, so this was a major limitation.

We bought this as a replacement for an old blender that died, and use it almost daily to make homemade smoothies. It has held up very well for such use, and we have had no problems with it. Because it is not a top-of-the-line blender, though, you do have to stop blending to stir the frozen fruit/ice; otherwise, the blender just whirs and gets stuck. However, I have found it to be an excellent blender for its price range and we've made some delicious treats with it! I would definitely buy another Oster-brand blender, given the choice.
