I love Oster! Ever since I am wee kid, my mum would use this to make smoothies and to make sure her soup is nice and smooth. I now use the sleek model and it still performs as well, and still as noisy as before :) that's the only thing I have to remind myself, that I have to ensure that I use this blender before the baby gets a snooze or it will really make him jump when I turn it on. Lol!

This isn't one of those fancy blenders you hear about nowadays. This is a little cheap one that isn't meant to do much more then make a few smoothies a week. But if that's what you need it for then that's what it's great for. It was worth the money I spent though honestly I didn't spend very much on it. I use it to make breakfast pretty frequently. It handles frozen fruit fairly well. Sometimes it has trouble if the mixture is too dense or the chunks are too large. That usually additional fluid or Quick stirs will fix that problem. It is easy to clean. Easy to disassemble. Like home blenders there's some risk of cutting yourself when you disassemble so be careful. I wouldn't recommend allowing children to use it. Parts seem fairly sturdy. I put them in the dishwasher without problems. And I've been using it for more than a year and a half now. It's small and fits easily on the counter. Not large enough for parties but good for a couple. Plain white model matches with most white kitchen appliances. It does have a sleek, attractive design.

This is an awesome product because it has 14 different options to choose from to make your smoothie or mixed drink the best texture it can be! I love to use my blender for breakfast smoothies, veggie smoothies, and protein shakes. It's a great way to keep me in the right direction for healthy living! It is also great for making frosties any time of years! Blending Power Very powerful, but may need to scrape the sides downward if you aren't making more than one smoothie at a time. Versatility Like I said before it has 14 different blending options to choose from also low and high :) one of the 14 is an ice crusher which you can use to make snow cones for your kids for a fun summer treat, I'm sure kids would still love that idea in the winter. Ease of Cleaning Very easy to clean because it all comes apart to clean each part separately. Ease of Use Easy for first time user, easy to read instructions included on how to operate your blender.

It does not blend as well as I would like but, if you put a little extra shake on it, you will be satisfied with the results. Blending Power Ice cubes are the hardest to blend. I have managed to get my drinks nicely smooth and thick by stopping every so often and shaking the contents so that the bigger pieces of ice will fall to the bottom where the blade can catch it. Also works best when you put your liquids in first. That will give the blades room to move and the ice will gradually fall on the blades and blend perfectly! Versatility You can blend anything you want to. Takes extra effort to get ice nice and smooth. My favorite is strawberry margaritas! Ease of Cleaning Watch the blade! LOL! Every other part is easily cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. Of course the part with the motor should just be sponged off. Ease of Use There is nothing complex about this blender. It's as easy as any other blender. I would suggest using small or softer pieces of ice for easier blending. You can use ice cubes but, it takes extra work as mentioned above. Design Standard design. I actually prefer this design as opposed to the one with the spout. Durability I've had mine for over 5 years.

I bought this blender a few months ago after my old one went out. My sister owns an Oster blender, and she's always been very pleased with the way it works. I mainly use the blender to make smoothies. It crushes the ice perfectly and makes a well blended smoothie. In my opinion, it works just as well as some of the more expensive blenders out there. The size is perfect for making 2 or 3 smoothies at once, and I love using it to crush ice since I don't own an ice crusher. Blending Power I've put ice, chunky fruit, vegetables, ect. into this blender, and it has never failed to blend everything together into a perfect drink or smoothie. Versatility I've used this blender to crush ice and to make smoothies. I've also seen my sister use it to help process some fruits and vegetables. Ease of Use This blender is very easy to use. You simply put in what ever you want to blend, and press a button. Assembling the blender is a breeze, and it comes with very clear instructions. I had my blender up and running within 10 minutes. Durability I've had this blender for over 4 months and it shows no signs of slowing down or breaking. My sister bought her Oster blender 3 years ago, and it still works great. That may not be the case for everyone, but for me, this blender has been the perfect choice.

I previously owned this blender and used it so much that the motor finally blew out! LOL! It has been the best absolute blender I've ever owned, hands down! The only reason I didn't buy another Oster when I needed to replace it a month or so ago was because the store was out of them (which should tell you that I'm not the only one who prefers this product over the others!). I primarily used mine for smoothies and was so impressed with its ability to crush ice. The blender I have now does a poor job crushing/chopping ice. It was also very easy to clean, while the blender I use now tends to trap food particles between the base and the blades so that it's easy to slice your hand when trying to clean it. It also did a wonderful job making purees and mixing. I highly recommend this blender and will purchase it again (assuming the store has it in stock!) to replace the one I currently own!!

This blender is great for chopping up Ice, frozen fruit, nuts or whatever. I've had it and used it regularly for years even going on a liquid diet for 4 weeks where it was used 3 times a day. The only reason It is not a 10/10 is that it doesn't have a food processor attachment. Blending Power Thick soups, large ice cubes, frozen strawberries this blender takes it all on with out a problem. Versatility Wish it had food processor attachment for shredding. Ease of Cleaning Fill with 1-2 inches of water with a drop of soap after use buzz and clean it also comes apart easily to just be thrown in the dishwasher. There are no spots on the inside that are hard to get too. Ease of Use Easy to chop, puree or use one of the other 14 blending options and cleaning is a snap. Design The Design is well thought out just with it had the food processor attachment. Durability This thing has lasted for years (at least 4) where my new roommates blender was taken back twice in the 6 months before I moved now mine gets used by two people.

I got this blender to replace my old blender when the entire jar busted. My last blender was plastic, so this time I went for a glass jar. Overall, it's a great blender. If you don't let it run long enough it can leave some chunks, and occasionally the jar doesn't sit right on the base, causing the noise level to be a bit louder, but overall it was a great investment for the money. I use mine mostly for smoothies, pureeing soups, and crushing ice. I've never had a problem with it! It's incredibly easy to clean and assemble.

I bought this blender to replace a blender I was given about 10 yrs ago. I really wanted a blender with a glass jar and was able to crush ice. After shopping around, I decided on this blender. Overall, this is a great blender. It is loud, but it does get the job done. When crushing ice, it does take it a while to get it all crushed. I have made ice cream milkshakes, fruit smoothies, and even frappes! I also use it for everyday blending and pureeing (pinto beans to make them re-fried). I have not used all of the settings ) like mince, chop, or whip, so I cannot give a review for those settings. Honestly, it never occurs to me to put something in a blender to mince it or whip it. I use other products to do that. Blending Power The blender does a great job at what it was made for- blending. Ease of Cleaning This blender is easy to clean. I like that the blade comes off from the jar so it can get a good cleaning. Ease of Use The blender is easy to use.

Oster blender mixer (product no 6694) falls in the low cost multiple functions blender category. It comes with single blade, a glass jar and a 450-watt motor. It was originally suggested by one of my friend. She used the one which comes with plastic jar but said that this one is less messy.  I originally come from india where we are more used to using 700-800 watt motor food processors which come with different size jars for different quantities of food. However, we did not find one of that kind here so we went for the first one suggested by our friend. But i was not so much impressed by it. I'm a kind of person who generally grinds a lot, wet and dry both. Being a small family the quantity of food is considerably less. Although it grinds well even in small quantities but only when the water is in the right quantity. It is a total hassle to grind small quantities with less or no water. Second problem with this blender is its chop function. First it does not chop in equal sizes which is understandable but if you want finer chop you will end up making a paste. It also comes with a easy clean up speed which i never understood. It was of no use at all. Once i tried to whip the egg whites at its whip speed but it never became that white and frothy which it is supposed to be for cakes. Apart from these, it is a great blender. It works wonders for vegetable juices, blending, mocktails, smoothies, shakes  and puree making. Its glass jar is dishwasher safe, easy to clean and does not inherit the smell of food. One very big advantage of this was it opens up completely from the bottom so it is lot more easier to take out food. All in all i was happy with my blender as it was enough to carry out my daily needs untill i accidentally dropped my glass jar and it broke into thousand pieces. And now i cannot find that jar anywhere and will now have to buy a new blender altogether. So, I would say go ahead and buy this one but be very very careful with the jar and do consider the primary reason for which you intend to buy a blender mixer.
