Oster 12 speed blender Review

My husband and I bought this a few months ago after my other blender burned up. I use my blender all the time to make homemade smoothies. My old blender burned up on the bottom of the blade after a year of constant ice chopping and blending. So this time around I wanted a blade without the hard rubber teeth on the bottom. I found this particular Oster 12 speed mixer. It has a stainless steel bottom that fits over the blender base. This eliminates the possibility of the blade burning or wearing out. It also has great power and works fast and efficiently at chopping ice and blending liquids. I also like that the blender pitcher is made out of glass. I had a plastic one years ago and it cracked after about 6 months of use. This particular blender came with a bonus food processor as well. I was able to get both at a good price. Both the pitcher and the food processor bowl fit on the same base. This cuts down on counter space clutter from 2 seperate appliances. I am very pleased with this so far!
