OSCAR MAYER FULLY COOKED BACON

I'm not someone who regularly eats bacon, it's high in fat, greasy, and messy to cook.
But I do like the flavor, and once in awhile I like some with breakfast, or to use in a recipe.

I love the Oscar Mayer Fully Cooked Bacon, great bacon flavor without all the mess.
It's 100% real bacon, fully cooked, you just heat it and crisp it in the microwave or in a skillet.
I usually prepare it in the microwave, on one of those trays especially made for cooking bacon in the microwave. I lay a piece of paper towel over it, and cook it for about 25 seconds, longer if I want it crispier. After I let it cool about a minute, I use the paper towel to blot the excess grease off of the bacon before using it.

It comes in a reclosable tray, and it keeps quite awhile in the refrigerator; great for me because as a s single person that only cooks for myself, I can take out only what I need. If I think it's going to be a very long time before I use the rest of the package, I will even freeze it. It's great to have on hand for BLTs, and sometimes I will cook just one piece to crumble up in a salad. I actually like the flavor better than regular bacon, since it's not fried in a lot of grease, you really can taste the bacon flavor a lot more.

There are about 4 servings in each package, and one serving is 4 pieces of bacon. Each serving is 70 calories, 6g fat, 15mg cholestreal, 320mg sodium, 0 carbs, and 5 g protein.
