As a busy stay at home mom, it is difficult to find a tasty lunch that I can quickly make and that does not have the letters PB&J involved.  While I enjoy the South Beach diet sandwiches very much some label reading sent me further down the aisle to the Oscar Meyer Deli Creations Flatbread Sandwiches.

Oscar Meyer Deli Creations Flatbread Sandwiches comes with everything you need to create your sandwich, in a nifty little box and microwaveable tray.  Included: flatbread, grilled chicken breast strips, shredded 2% Milk Reduced Fat natural Monterey Jack Cheese, and Buffalo Style Ranch Sauce.

My Viewpoint:  The Oscar Meyer Deli Creations Flatbread Buffalo Style Ranch Chicken Sandwich was filling and easy to make.  Just one sandwich and a small side dish (fruit, chips, yogurt, or small salad would work) and my meal was complete.  it took about 30 seconds to put the sandwich together and then 1 minute in the microwave.  Neither the buffalo or ranch flavors were overwhelming, but just the right combination.  I would have preferred blue cheese, but ranch is probably a safer "bet" for the average consumer. The pita bread was still soft, and the chicken was white meat. It was very surprising to find that this sandwich, which is not only more filling than the South Beach Diet sandwiches, costs .50 less per package, had almost the same number of calories,  and fat grams, but the total sodium in most South Beach diet sandwiches was almost twice as high (for example 500 some grams of sodium in a ham and cheese sandwich vs. SB Diets 900+ grams).  With these deli-icious sandwiches I can enjoy something other than the quick and easy lunches my children love but that aren't exactly happy meals for parents.
