Where's the Beef?

the cook of a family with varied tastes, mother of 2, not a gourmet by any stretch

On the box, this thing looks great. Basically the Ortega Lasagna Grande Dinner Kit is a Mexican lasagna. How could it not be good? I love lasagna, and I love tacos, and enchiladas, and this is basically like combing all three of those. To make it even better, the whole kit together was just under $2.00. All I had to do was add ground beef, or actually ground chuck in my case.

I feed a husband who is 6'5", a 16-year-old son who is 6'3", and an almost 13-year-old daughter who is already taller than I am. Because of that, I stretch everything with two pounds of ground chuck. I either double everything,...
