We ventured to a quaint, peaceful town in Texas called Fayetteville.  This is a small country town with all of the charm.  They actively have festivals so we decided to give it a try.  On the town square we found Orsaks Cafe where they claim to be "world famous" for their cooking.  BOY ARE THEY RIGHT!!!

This is a wonderful home-style classic restaurant where you can get just about anything you want to eat.  I must say that the burgers looked scrumptious!!!  I highly recommend their fried pickles!!  I've been thinking about them all day long.  Their homemade cobbler is not to go unmentioned.  We shared a peach and a dewberry cobbler - with ice cream (of course!).

Orsak's Cafe
Located on the Square. Good home cookin'. Homemade desserts. Blue Bell ice cream.

  • Open 7 days: Sunday-Thursday 8am-9:30pm

Fried pickles are lightly breaded (if done right). They are amazing! We stopped in for a snack to hold us over before dinner and I ended up full from all of the cobbler and fried pickles. I've been wanting fried pickles ever since that day! And no I am not pregnant!! :-) We saw some fantastic looking burgers there too!

I don't think I've ever had fried pickles. Are they breaded? Cobbler yes - yum! Soooo what did you have besides the fried pickles? : )
