Oreck XL Ultra Bagged Upright Vacuum Reviews

I've had my Oreck Ultra for, believe it or not, 7 years. I've had to replace certain parts, but it's so easy to do these replacements yourself, and the performance is always excellent. If you have shedding pets, this is definitely a good consideration for you as you'll be vacuuming often.

This product would easily have rated a 5 from me if I hadn't recently had an unsatisfactory experience with an order from Oreck.com.I wouldn't wish that fact to reflect upon the performance of this particular product, however. It's to your advantage to find your local Oreck dealer so you'll have available local...

I took my oreck for its annual tune-up and had to get a new bag for my old upright kenmore to use as a stand-in this week. It's been two years since I last used the kenmore - and boy, do i miss my Oreck. The Kenmore weights about 10 lbs more, and the cord is shorter, and everytime i make a turn it leaves scuff marks on my kitchen floor, which i have to wipe off with 409. Who ever heard of having to clean up after your vacuum cleaner?

That was why I wanted a new vacuum two years ago, I was suddenly reminded. By the way, it does not suck up dirt as well as the Oreck does either. I have been using...

I purchased this vacuum about two years ago after yet another one stopped working after just a year.  This vacuum is great.  Yes, the initial purchase price is high, but it is definitely made to last which I what I was looking for. 

Initially it bothered me that it didn't come with attachments.  But, they give you an excellent hand held for stairs and edges which works great as well.  It cleans well, it lasts forever and it's easy to carry up the stairs. 

I have gone through many, many vacuums looking for the one that does it all. My Oreck XL Ultra is that vacuum. I have 2 dogs and a cat and when shedding season rolls around it seems all I do is vacuum up hair. Other vacuums just couldn't keep up...my Oreck does.  It has a great edging feature that allows you to get close to the edges of your baseboard.  It also lies down flat to get under coffee tables and end table.  Although there is an Oreck store in my town, it is more convenient for me to order my supplies directly from Oreck.com.  The bags are a bit pricey but considering the quality...

The Oreck XL is the best vacuum I have ever used! And I say this from a history of use, I have had most brands over my 35 years of house keeping, five kids, 3 grandskids and always a dog. This vacumm is qiet, light and super effient, one pass will pick up mound of dirt, dog hair etc. It is so powerfull it will even vacuum dried muddy  puppy prints off my laminate floors! With the warrent and expected life span, it comes out cheaper than any you would buy at a store.

If you are tired of lugging and toting, this is the vacuum for you.  Very easy to use and move from room to room.  Very powerful and easy to change bag.  Highly reccommend !
