I did much research before making this purchase given the fact that I've owned 2 previous Eureka steam mops which both only lasted me >2 years each. I decided on the Oreck steam mop based on it's online reviews and moderate price. It's now 3 months later and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I steam mop an approximate 1500sq ft area 2-4 times per month. This mop makes my old Eurekas look and feel like dinosaurs. The Oreck allows me to adjust the amount of steam output (important for different types of floor surfaces and soil level). Other pro include: long power cord, large water tank immediate steam and most importantly it cleans my tile and laminate wood floors very nicely. Only one con: with a full tank of water the mop is heavy, but not really an issue unless I'm steaming something other than the floor where I must lift the mop up. I have not tried the carpet steam function yet.

I love this mop for steam cleaning my kitchen and bathroom floors. My husband uses it on a regular basis to clean our floors. It is easy to use, and since he finds it efficient it helps me out in keeping the floors cleaned. Before we got this product, I cleaned my floors by hand, which is hard to do without hurting my back. This makes it much easier.

I bought the steamer and was pleased with it liked the fact that it heats up in 30 seconds..It was a little heavy for me I have new tile floors and it seems to clean the  floors but you have to go over and over to clean a spot..but I liked to clean my counters and walls still a little heavy for the walls.I used it all the time but after a year the plastic holder where you put the mop to broke the part should be better made..I would never buy this product again.I feel It should have lasted a little longer than a year for the price.

I have had this mop for about 5 months now and really like it. I use it mostly to clean our laminate flooring, but I have used it on windows, shower doors, to steam around toilets and sinks and on carpet. I even used it once to clean an older kitchen table. It has done a wonderful job on everything I have used it for. Heats up very quickly and water reservoir hold plenty of water to get a large job done. My only complaint is the cord... it could be a little longer and I really dislike the cord storage style.... you have to loop the cord yourself and wrap it with a velcro to keep in place. Overall great mop!!

my parents bought this for me because they know I have a hard time keeping my large tiled kitchen floor clean. The tiles are white and show everything. I have gone through a Pledge mop, Swiffer, Lysol steam mop, Bissell vac and mop and nothing works perfectly. I decided to try this Oreck with little faith that it would perform any better. Wow was I impressed! Because of the shape and size of the mop head, this mop gets right up to the edges under all my cabinets, no other mop I have used has been able to do this. It is a dry steam, no wet floors to wait to dry unlike my Lysol steam mop. This has attachments and pad which allow you to use it vertically as well, you can clean couches, curtains or anything you can imagine. One fill of the tank is enough to do my whole kitchen (other brands required my filling it twice) and the cord is so long I can almost get the whole room done without having to find a new plug but not quite. Still, other mops had to be changed 3 times to get the room entirely mopped. You don't need any chemicals or cleaners, just water for this and it cleans thoroughly without just pushing the dirt around. It is heavy but I guess that is the price you pay for the amazing performance.

I have recently purchased this steam vacuum after going through to other steam vac brands. This is by far the best. Multiple jobs can be done with this one product. Go from steaming your floors to cleaning your windows and walls with one simple attachment. Easy setup just add water with the measuring cup that is provided and the product will heat up the water in a matter of seconds. No need to wait around to use the product use instantly. No need for unnecessary pads you could use regular cloth as your replacment pads.

This steam cleaner is good on my hardwood floors. It was given to us by someone who had tried to use it on linolium flooring, and it just left yucky streaks and bad marks on the floor. I thankfully had a better experience than that and it worked ok. I did not like how it worked on glad. It left the glass very streaky and gross white lines over all of it. Not good at all. For the most part this machine worked fairly well. I do not think that I would recommend it to other people as a multi-purpose tool, because it does not give good results. I think it could be better. I like the Oreck name. But this is not one of their best products in my opinion. Keep working Oreck, you can do better than this. I wish I could use it on everything in my house. But that does not really exist. I would like a better everything tool that steams, cleans, and everything. But I guess I need to be a jetson before that happens.

I've had my Steam-It about six months now.  I love the fact that it uses only steam to clean surfaces.  It's eco friendly.  It does a good job on my linoleum and tile but doesn't do well on Mexican tile, or other similar rough surfaces.  I've not used it on carpet so I can't comment on that.  It does a good job on windows and shower doors and walls.  It weighs about six pounds when it's empty and about nine pounds when the water reservoir is completely full.  You don't have to fill the water reservior all the way to do a good sized job, such as a kitchen or livingroom.  It comes with two bonnets for the steam head and two small bonnets for the upholstery tool.  You can purchase additional bonnets if you need them.  The bonnets are washable and stand up to a lot of use.** **
