Orbitz Review

Since my son is in the military I am the one who gets to make his leave travel arrangements. I am familiar with many of the online line ones but use orbitz the most.The have a great service which is flight notification so if a flight is delayed or changed you either get an email or text message. We set up to receive these. Since we use a local airport he has to take connecting flights to get anywhere but last December we ran into a BIG problem when he arrived in Boston only to find his flight had been cancelled due to weather and thus he would not make the next connecting flight. We did not get either of the notices and he called me from the airport and I called Orbitz and they said they got no notification. His itinerary showed all the original flights with no changes. This is not good as trying to explain to your sergeant why you were late returning and not having the extra money ( or time) to stay overnight to catch the next flight. They could not help us but the people at the airport were much better.
