More than ten years ago I decided to remove the harsh cleaners from my home. As long as I could find all natural cleaners that worked, I was good to go. One of the companies I buy a lot of products from is Orange Mate. Their Lemon Maid Glass & Surface Cleaner is a joy to work with! This cleaner comes in a clear 22 ounce bottle with a trigger sprayer on top. The end of the sprayer gives three different options, which are spray, stream and off. This cleaner promises a streak free shine, that it is ammonia free, and that it has a natural lemon fragrance. I find this cleaner acceptable for certain household cleaning tasks, such as cleaning counter tops, faucets, the front of my large appliances, and other such jobs. I really don't like it very much as a window cleaner because it does seem to leave streaks on my windows. I typically purchase Orange Mate cleaners in either the orange or lemon scents, and I have to say I prefer the orange. I expected a fresh and invigorating lemon scent with this cleaner, and I was disappointed. There is only a very faint scent of lemon when I smell the contents, and it is not at all noticeable when I am actually using it. The orange scent makes my home smell like fresh cut oranges. The Lemon Maid bottle states this cleaner can be used on not only windows, but glass tops, mirrors, glass doors, TV screens, automotive glass & windshields, computer monitor screens, shiny surfaces, chrome, stainless steel, ceramic tile, aliminum miniblinds, counter tops, cabinets, appliances, stove, microwave, refrigerator and painted surfaces. If you want to stretch the cleaner, you can dilute it 50-50 with water for "light" cleaning. The ingredients read: water, alcohol, and natural citrus essence. Overall, this is a nice cleaner that cuts through grease and leaves surfaces shiny. I just don't like using it on windows.
