Oral-B Vitality Electric Toothbrush Review Summary

The Oral-B Vitality Electric Toothbrush is an inexpensive rechargeable alternative to pricey electric toothbrushes. The toothbrush comes with a charger and removable heads so everyone in the family can use it and it has a two minute timer which is is especially good for kids who just like to swipe a toothbrush across their teeth and call it a good brushing. Reviewers felt the brush cleaned their teeth better than a manual toothbrush and liked that they didn't have to pay to replace batteries. However, travelers aren't happy that they have to tote the charger with them or else run out of power. Helps me brush my teeth correctly.

I have a problem brushing my teeth. I have a bad habit of brushing them too hard and end up with sore teeth! After hearing me complain about it, my Mom went out and bought me this toothbrush. The round brush head on this model oscillates back and forth in a circular fashion. The compact size of the brush head means you can maneuver it into tight spaces, e.g., behind your last molar. I have been using an Oral-B plaque remover toothbrush for many years, much to the approval of my dentist. I find that this toothbrush, used for three minutes in the morning and two minutes at night, is superior for plaque removal compared to manual brushing or even a Sonicare (original model) which I used to own. For myself, I found the Oral B Vitality Electric Toothbrush was just what I wanted and needed in a toothbrush. It cleaned throughly as it moved smoothly along my teeth. It even provided proper brushing techniques in case one had any doubts. It also had a timer to make you aware of when you should stop brushing as not to cause harm to the enamel on your teeth by excessive brushing. My teeth and gums actually did feel much cleaner than using my old standard -type toothbrush. It wasn't all that expensive because they had specials going on over a long period of time. Waste of money

I was given one of these as a Christmas gift. The bristles do not move at all, instead the whole handle/toothbrush vibrates. You have to use just about as much effort to brush as a standard toothbrush, because otherwise your teeth feel just as slimy as they were to begin with. I would recommend skipping this one in favor of one where the bristles move/spin on their own. — My 5 year old got a Dora one with spinning head from Colgate, and the dentist commented how clean her teeth were, and was surprised that she brushes her teeth without help. —… read full review »

I love my Oral B Vitality electric toothbrush from Braun. I have only used it since my check up in January. When I had my teeth cleaned in early August, my mouth was healthier than in January. My hygienist was very pleased. This product is high-quality, easy to use, easy to charge, and cleans pretty thoroughly. Could get in between teeth and down by the gums better.
