Braun, Oral-B Triumph Professinal Care 9000 may not be to most current release from Braun, but it is similary to their more updated versions. Both are electric, and rechargable, not disposable battery operated. This is great because when the battery dies, I only have to place the toothbrush back into the recharger and it is recharged by the time I pick it up again. I also have a back up toothbrush that is always charged for those times I forget to recharge my primary toothbrush.
The toothbrush works like the cleaning tools used by the dentist. It rotates back and forth in a circular motion. Other toothbrushes move up and down and I think this motion is bad for gums because is pushes them down and can cause receiding gum lines. The circular motion of the toothbrush is easy to use because it is a motion that can not be done with a manual tooth brush. I hold to toothbrush on by teeth and I can feel it clean between my teeth. Also I have noticed that the tight spots that use to be just slightly discolored, I'm assuming from tartar, got completely clean. Now my teeth look cleaner because of those little details.
