Quick View: I previously wrote about Rembrandt Premium Mouth Rinse, Stain Therapy and whined that it tasted bad and burned. But it works really well. This formula tastes better and doesn't burn as much but also doesn't work quite as well. It's good though and more tolerable than the stronger formula.

About Rembrandt Premium Mouth Rinse, Whitening Plus

This 16 ounce bottle is the one with the blue cap. This mouth rinse is made to whiten teeth with peroxide and it also contains fluoride to fight cavities. It is alcohol and sugar free. It claims it doesn't burn but it still stings due to the peroxide. When you swish the rinse around, it fizzes and foams. If you have any small abrasions or cuts on your gums, it actually will help them to heal. It also may sting. You swish for a minute then spit it out and avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes.

The taste is tolerable and the fizzing shows me it is working. I do see improvement in the color of my teeth when I use this. I drink loads of tea and diet cola so I am battling stains all the time. This rinse helps. While it is good, the Stain Therapy formula actually works much faster and better. But it tastes awful and burns. I suppose you have to decide which you want - slower results or dreadful taste.

I do use this rinse as does my son and it certainly does remove surface stains. It isn't as potent as the Stain Therapy formula but it is much more tolerable. I will continue to use this rinse and may also use the Stain Therapy formula if I can stand the taste. This rinse is effective over time and, if you want faster results, dip your toothbrush into the liquid and brush your teeth with it. Then swish it. It will work much faster.

My Viewpoint

Rembrandt Premium Mouth Rinse, Whitening Plus works quite well and has fluoride to fight cavities. The peroxide fizzes and may be annoying but it's no big deal. The taste is decent and use of this rinse will help remove surface stains from foods, drinks, and smoking. It doesn't work quite as well as the harsher Stain Therapy formula but it also is more tolerable. The choice is yours. They both work well. I give this 4 stars. I will use it again for sure.

16 ounce bottle, approximately $5.50
