Fantastic toothbrush!

5

This toothbrush is the perfect combination of manual and electric toothbrushes. It cleans my teeth better than any toothbrush I've ever used...electric toothbrushes included. After brushing with the Oral B Pulsar Toothbrush, I have the same clean feeling I get after a visit to the dentist! The pulsing action is gentle yet effective. In the past, some electric toothbrushes I've used have vibrated so much, it's rattled my head and given me a headache. This one does not do that. I have a tendency to brush too hard when using manual toothbrushes and it irritates my gums. With this toothbrush, I use a softer touch and brush right over my gums with no irritation. And my teeth still get sparkling clean. My favorite feature of this is the rubbery bristles. They get between my teeth so beautifully, when I'm done brushing, it's almost unnecessary to floss. All in all, this is a fantastic toothbrush. Good pricepoint, fantastic features, and it leaves my teeth with a "squeaky clean" feeling. I would recommend this toothbrush to anyone!

Gets in All the Nooks and Crannies

Definitely my favorite dental product. I love how it "pulse". I find most electric toothbrushes are violent and can be too much for people with sensitive teeth. That is not the case with this one. Due to the "pulse" it vibrates in your mouth as you brush. Super gentle and does not irritate gums at all. My teeth get the great cleaning of an electric toothbrush without all the bleeding gums.

Nice upgrade from a regular toothbrush

4

Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush is a nice upgrade from your typical regular toothbrush. If you are wanting something with a little power behind it but do not want to pay for a power toothbrush, you may like this one made by Oral-B. It has Oral-B quality and is well-made. It performs well. It gives a gentle pulse while you brush which really helps teeth to feel clean. The brush head is soft and easy on teeth, and it is a good size for my mouth, not too large or small. I have also found that these toothbrushes are nice for my boys as they learn how to brush their teeth. It gives them a little bit of extra "help" in areas where they would typically miss. The price is reasonable, and these toothbrushes last for a decent amount of time before needing replaced. Overall, this is not my most favorite toothbrush that I have ever used, but it is definitely above average in my opinion and a brush I would be willing to buy again.

An Okay Substitute for an Electric Toothbrush - But Not Really!

I find these Pulsar toothbrushes to be puzzling because I don't know that there's any data or research that proves that this pulsating action actually provides any additional benefits to regular tooth brushing. I find the heads to be rather large (especially being that dentists advise smaller heads for better cleaning) and the big rubber thing in the middle of the bristles to be awkward. On the plus side, they do have batteries included and it does seem to last quite a while without the need for recharging or anything like that. My boyfriend seems to swear by the Pulsar Toothbrushes, although I did have to remind him he needed to replace it every three months and not wait until the battery died, which surprising can last well over three months! And while I didn't find these to be the best for my personal usage (and I would advise anyone seeking some electric assistance to just go ahead and splurge on a real electronic toothbrush), I did find these toothbrushes to be very helpful with cleaning the gross black mildew from the shower doors once retired.

Oral B Pulsar Toothbrush

I use various types of toothbrushes through the year. I sometimes use a regular manual toothbrush, I sometimes use a battery powered toothbrush and then I sometimes use the Oral B Pulsar toothbrush. This is a toothbrush that is kind of in between a manual toothbrush and a battery powered toothbrush. It is not as plain as a manual toothbrush and not as intense as a battery powered toothbrush that is why I feel it is in between the two of them. The Oral B Pulsar toothbrush works well at giving me nice clean teeth and fresh breath as I brush at least twice daily but the sound of the toothbrush is a bit loud when it is turned on. It is good at cleaning in between teeth and adjusts to the contour of your teeth. It comes in various colors. I do like using this type of toothbrush better than just a regular toothbrush because I feel like it does a better job of cleaning my teeth and gums.

My dentist strongly advocates using an electric toothbrush. Philips Sonicare seems to be the most highly recommended from my experience. The two main issues I have with most electric toothbrushes that I have come into contact with is that the body and handle are so big and bulky. The handle is awkward to hold and maneuver, furthermore, it is not comfortable in my hand. The head, which is the replaceable part is so small. The Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush has tackled and successfully solved both of these problems. With a much smaller and less awkward handle, it is easy to use and twist into the tough to reach spots in my mouth. Battery-operated, it pulses and vibrates much like an electric toothbrush. The bristles are unique in that some are the standard bristles while the rest are made of a rubber-like material. The pulsing action works to effectively remove plaque while gently massaging my gums. My only compliant is that I have to buy a new toothbrush when the battery runs out. Can they make it rechargeable and keep it small?

Good Idea/Bad Battery

3

I bought this for my son because he wasn't doing a good enough job on his own. He loved the novelty of it and it made it very easy for him to reach the back of his mouth, get the gum line and clean all the spots that he wasn't getting to previously. We really liked the portable nature of it since he was spending time at grandma's when we first bought it, as well as sleepover's at friends and the like. That was the advantage over getting an electric toothbrush. But, the biggest disadvantage of this brush is the battery life. I expected (and want to so that the bristles remain firm) to toss the brush every three months, as it indicates, but unfortunately the battery does not last that long. I guess it isn't replaceable, so that Oral B can make money on you having to buy the whole brush again and not just replace the battery. Hopefully they will make that small modification, and then I think they will have a great product.

My teeth feel so clean.

5

I bought this toothbrush because my usual toothbrush wasn't available. Little did I know that I would be thanking my lucky stars that I got it! My teeth feel so clean and fresh every time I use it. The bristles have just the right amount of stiffness to them, and it provides just the amount of pulsing power to massage my gums without irritating them. It was a great buy. Further, the price is very affordable. And, if your local store has the two pack available, it's an even better deal. My husband and my 13 year old son (who hates to brush his teeth) are both using them and I feel good knowing that their teeth are getting clean - even with my teen's minimal effort. I gave this brush a 9 instead of a 10 because the power button can be a little tricky. I have to press it pretty hard - so I don't always get it on the first try. I generally have to stop and look at it to turn it on, unlike many of my previous toothbrushes. This is a small price to pay for really clean teeth.

Good alternative to expensive pulsing toothbrushes

4

I typically just buy whatever toothbrush is on sale, so one day I decided to give the Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush a try. I liked that it was like an electric toothbrush without the expensive cost and the hassle of having to keep the toothbrush plugged into a charger. When the battery dies in this toothbrush, you can just throw it away and use the second toothbrush in the pack. The pulsing may not be as strong as with the expensive toothbrushes, but this definitely worked for me. This toothbrush lasted me pretty long before the battery died in it, and I felt like I definitely got my money's worth. There are longer bristles along the edge of the brush that work well to make sure your gums are clean when you brush your teeth. This toothbrush did a great job of keeping my teeth clean. I even was told by the dentist that my teeth and gums looked better than they normally do while I was using this brush.

unique sensation from a toothbrush!

5

One of my couponing trips to the drugstore yielded an Oral-B Pulsar toothbrush free after rewards, and I finally tried it out a few weeks ago. Now I can't imagine going back to an old-fashioned toothbrush. I've always associated electric toothbrushes with being too much trouble, bulky have to change batteries/charge etc. This one is all self-contained and not much larger than a normal toothbrush. Supposed to last as long as the brush head (about 3 mo?), haven't had it that long yet but it still works. I don't know whether it really gets my mouth cleaner than normal brushing but the tingling sensation just feels good to my gums and mouth.
