We've been using Oral-B for years. Our dental hygienist highly recommends it. and she is right. We have used the 4000 model and it has a tremendous life before it gets slow and needs to be replaced. It is a great investment in oral health.

This is an awesome toothbrush!!! I've had several battery powered brushes before but this one is far and away the best. I used to rush through the brushing process but now with the Oral B I can tell exactly how long I've been brushing and the Smart Guide makes it fun to watch as I go through the quadrants (it also doubles as a clock in the bathroom). The different speeds are useful - I especially like the gum massage and the polishing features of this toothbrush.I used to be plagued with plaque but this toothbrush has helped me to keep it in check. My dental hygenist actually noticed a definite improvement in my overall gum health and asked me what I was using. I feel like I just had my teeth cleaned by the hygenist every time I use the Oral B. Performance/Cleaning Excellent performance by the brush and my teeth feel exceptionally clean after each use. Durability I've had my Oral B toothbrush for several years now and it still performs as if it's brand new. The only thing I've had to do is replace the brush heads every couple of months and the batteries of course.

I've been using this for three years now and never had any complaints with it. It brushes great - just the right amount of strength. And never broke down or anything. The only issue is maybe that I don't really use the fancy options - normally I just use the brush option. When I first was deciding between electric toothbrushes I wanted to get a good one with many options but it turns out that I don't really need them. I do like the option that it beeps every one minutes so I know how long I've been brushing. Otherwise, I don't use the 4 levels of brushing or any other options it comes with (I actually don't even know what they are). So I think you can go with a simple version that gives you the brushing and that's probably all that you need. Performance/Cleaning Very good! I have no complaints - the brushes are a bit expensive so I tend to use one for a long time but definitely worth the investment. Durability I've used it for 3 years without problems.

This toothbrush is great for making brushing fun. Even as an adult, I get bored standing there brushing non-stop, that being said, having a fun brush like this really helps to pass a few minutes a tad bit quicker. Even though the timer is a bit goofy and childish, I think it's cute and surprisingly effective as it makes sure you hit each and every quadrant in your mouth. The only reason why I'd give this brush anything under a ten, is solely because the different heads and the different levels of intensity take a bit to adjust to. The first time I used my brush, it went so rapidly that it made my gums bleed a bit, so you really need to read the directions first and foremost, and try to adjust the intensity asap, so as not to irritate your mouth. Otherwise, it's a fun brush and seems effective enough. Performance/Cleaning Offers a great clean! Durability This is a newer gadget for me, so I'm not entirely sure how durable it actually is, however, it's been so far so good.

The Oral-B ProfessionalCare tooth brush is pricey but does deliver a very effective clean and seems to be very gentle on the gums. The extreme microscopic movement of the bristles cleans teeth way more efficiently and effectively than any standard hand held tooth brush.The timer is what I feel really adds to the overall effectiveness. I have been so much more consistent about taking my time with my teeth brushing. Performance/Cleaning The bristle action is impressive especially in its ability to get in between teeth and back to the challenging molars. My teeth feel smoother at all times, even after eating. I also really like how gentle feeling it is, not like having a rough dentist's tool scraping my teeth. Durability This toothbrush holds its power after charging in its docking station. I wish the brush heads lasted longer because they need to be replaced frequently to remain effective. My kids to enjoy theirs, and if a 16 doesn't manage to damage or destroy it, I don't know what will!

I purchased this brush, being a little skeptical about the price vs quality of the product. I knew Oral-B was a repetal company, so decided to take the chance. When I received the product, it didn't disappoint. Over the past couple of months, I have been using this product daily, and I'm very happy with it overall. Using this brush, can be a little confusing at first, but after reading through the instructions it will make sense. The brush does pulse during the timer, which is normal. At first I thought it was a defect in the product, but it tells you in the booklet that it's part of the cycle. There is also a DVD that comes with it to better explain the brush's features in more depth. Overall, I feel this brush cleans your teeth the best. It could just be me, but I feel my teeth, gums, tongue are more clean, than using the typical brush. It almost feels the same as getting a professional cleaning from your dentist. I'm very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this toothbrush to anyone who is looking for that extra thorough cleaning. Performance/Cleaning Powerful brush, that cleans your teeth similar to a dentist cleaning. Well worth the price. Durability I've been using it daily for a couple of months now, and it hasn't showed any signs of wear. Very powerful motor.

This is my second electric toothbrush and I like it the best. It is easy to use and encourages me to brush each individual tooth in all four quadrants of my mouth. My set comes with a timer that automatically starts timing you when you start brushing. It stops momentarily after 30 seconds or at other time intervals depending on how you have it set. Each time it stops it is encouraging you to go onto the next quadrant to brush. I found quite a variety of prices on this item. It pay to shop around to get the best deal. Performance/Cleaning I have not yet been to my dentist since starting to use this brush but it seems to me I am doing a much better job of keeping all my teeth cleaner. I combine it with daily flossing. Durability So far so good. I have had my brush about four months and I use it daily. The whole set cleans easily and seems staple setting on my bathroom sink. It will be interesting to see how it holds up longer term.

I have got braces and this brush is amazing, my teeth have never been so clean. When you buy the kit it has one of each brush type and i love the one for braces. It gets in between all the braces and cleans great. I even use the polisher every night to polish my teeth and they have never been so white and clean. Love this brush. Performance/Cleaning Amazing clean, you feel like you just walked out of the dental office. It even polishes and whitens your teeth. i also love the fact that you can take it anywhere, I love the blue case that came with it because it makes it so easy to transport and one charge lasts me a week. So that is a great plus since I am always on the go and need a good deep clean in a hurry. Durability I have had mine for over a year now and it is amazing, I haven't even had to replace the battery on the brush yet just the timer. I think this brush will last me forever because it is just so durable and it is even water proof so I love that

I spent a lot of time researching different brands of electric toothbrushes, before choosing the Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 5000 Toothbrush. It is a little costlier then other brands, but I feel like it is very much worth it. I have been using it for a little over 8 months. I go to my dentist for cleanings every 3-months (thankfully my insurance pays for it 3x a year!!). Since I started using this new brush, the dentist has complimented me on my teeth, and said that my gums are extremely healthy, and there is literally little to no plaque build up! When I used to use a manual toothbrush, cleanings were painful, and took forever. This toothbrush is great. I especially like that it comes with a little timer. I start brushing, and the timer tells me when 2 minutes is up. I feel like the brush hits all the tough-to-reach spots in my mouth, and my teeth are always silky smooth when I am finished. It also comes with a handy charger that sits neatly on my counter. I definitely recommend this brand and model!

Dental hygiene has always been a priority of mine so i did not mind spending a little more to get a high quality toothbrush. Oral B was definitely a smart choice. My mouth feels so clean and fresh afterwards. The bristles and spinning action really get to the plaque and crevices that are impossible to get with a normal toothbrush. Before I started using this I would have to floss for at least 15 minutes to get the same clean feeling. It also comes with a whitener brush head so every brush feels like I am going to the dentist (brush, floss, whiten). Each toothbrush head is durable and lasts a long time. I change mine about once every 3 months. The charge holds for about 1-1.5 weeks per one full charge but i usually plug it in at nights and i am always fine. The travel case is great too since it is hard to find a durable case for electric toothbrushes! I recommend this product to anyone
