Sushi as it was meant to be
frequent diner, prefer more casual restaurants, seeker of fun and interesting places

Opal is one of my favorite restaraunts in the country.  This Lower Denver establishment (LoDo) serves up a great plate of sushi.  The edamame is excellent and the main courses are worth sampling too.  My favorite time though is during happy hour.  2 for one sushi on selected items, 2 for 1 sake, and other specials make this a delicious and cost conscious outing.  The bar area is ver comfortable with couches and small tables, informal and friendly.  Had all the sushi and coronas I needed without spending over 13 dollars.  Excellent value and ambiance.

On a recent visit I spotted several roaches underneath a cabinet that holds the fish tank.  Saw more than just one.  Made me wonder what was under there.

Sushi was okay, but the bugs made me too nervous to return
