Yet another free meter that is supposed to be easier to check past history, averages, etc. However, I found this meter to be very cumbersome and difficult to figure out, even though I am computer literate.
Another frustrating thing is the fact that while you can get a free glucose meter if you are diabetic, yet there is almost no assistance for the replacement test strips, which can cost $40-$50 which Medicare Part B and/or D do not cover--and most other insurances only provide a discount. I even called their customer service to find out alternatives, and all the customer service agent would do is repeat the same questions about my diabetes and glucose testing when I would ask her a question about what I needed. It seemed like I was being interrogated by an automated system even though I knew I was speaking to a person.
Glucose monitering is very important in managing diabetes, but it's ridiculous to have so many meters on the market with none of them being much different as far as the data they give you and all have costly test strips that make it difficult to test as often as required.
