The One Ttouch Ultra Mini is very easy to use. I got it for my Aunt who is in her 80's and she uses it now instead f her old one.Its small and she can carry it in her pouch on her walker.

At the doctor's suggestion to monitor my blood glucose on a regular basis due to medications/family history of diabetes/current weight (too high)...I decided to pop into the local pharmacy to see what they had. The One Touch Ultra Mini Blood Glucose Monitor is a very good monitor.  Nice compact size doesn't take up much room in a handbag.  You can discreetly test yourself without having to lay out  a lot of artillery.   It doesn't require much of a blood sample and comes with a test nozzle for use in obtaining forearm samples but it usually is less accurate than a fingertip.  You can obtain software for about $30 that allows you to upload your readings into the computer and you can generate reports that show your trends on a daily, weekly, monthly, etc. basis.
