pill is too big!

I purchased the vitamins knowing that it would be good for me, however, the pill is much too big to swallow.  I joke that the pill is so big that I would rather take it rectally!  Unfortunately, I still have almost the entire bottle's worth of vitamins in my medicine cabinet, so it didn't do me much good after all.  You mean to tell me that people are expected to swallow the whole pill?
