Once the "natural" brand of prenatal vitamins I'd purchased turned out to be gag-Inducing suppository-size gel tab nightmares, I decided to give these ones a go. I was surprised to see that the name was misleading since there are actually two pills to take each day, but it was still preferable to the single giant pill offered by the other brand. The pills are packaged on a plastic sheet, perforated into daily two-pill doses (one little coated pink pill and one yellow gel tab), inside a box. Just pop the pills out and swallow with a fat glass of water. Simple enough. It seemed to work too, because my nails and hair grew thick and long and my baby was born beautiful and healthy. In fact, I've continued taking them while nursing too, so my gorgeous little girl can continue to reap the nutritional benefits of having a healthy mommy and a DHA boost. Hopefully it makes her extra smart. I'll post an update if she becomes a rocket scientist or president some day.

During my pregnancy with both my son and daughter which were back to back, it was essential that I find a good prenatal vitamin to keep me going. One of my favorites was the One A Day Prenatal with DHA Supplement because it had a long list of vitamins included within it, and gave me every vitamin I needed so I didn't have to buy any extra bottles of vitamins like I had to with some of the other vitamins on the market. This vitamin is actually two, with one being a hard pill and the other being a soft gel. Overall, this vitamin was pretty good and was affordable. My one issue with this vitamin though is that it made me feel sick every time I took it. I even talked to my doctor about it and did every thing they recommended but it didn't go away. It usually only lasted for an hour or so, so it wasn't a huge deal, but I did wish it didn't happen. The bottles were small enough to store in my medicine cabinet without taking up too much room, and they were easy to open.

I've always loved the One A Day Vitamins; just because you always know you are getting everything your body needs most. Rather than taking ten different vitamins; you can get away with only taking one. So because my family grew up taking One A Day Vitamins; it was really easy to decide to take the One A Day Prenatal Vitamins with DHA Supplements. You can rest peacefully knowing you are doing the best thing you can for you and your unborn child. Also if you plan to breastfeed; you can continue to take these vitamins until the baby is weaned off the nipple. I just like knowing that for the price of most prenatal vitamins; you can also get the DHA which your baby needs for healthy brain and eye development. With other vitamins, you may actually have to buy the DHA separate. Way to go One A Day!

These are great! I started taking them before I was pregnant. They used to have a huge DHA pill that had a somewhat funny taste (as all DHA ones do I suppose.) Now, that pill is very small! It's awesome! I did start taking the Up and Up brand of these because the price was better, however, now with the smaller pill, these are the way to go! Definitely take these pills after you eat or you will have pregnancy symptoms even when you aren't pregnant. I have been taking these or the Up and Up since before I was pregnant, pregnancy, while nursing, while pregnant again and now nursing again--since December of 2009! My doctor and now midwives recommend taking a supplement with DHA for the brain development of baby even after birth/while nursing. Great benefits for both mom and baby before and after birth. Definitely worth the price! Great product and a brand you can trust to keep you and baby healthy!

It is essential for healthy brain development, and it just gave me a sense of security, you know like, I was really doing all that I could to ensure that my baby was getting what he needed. One A Day Prenatal Vitamins with DHA Supplement, have the necessary vitamins and minerals to support a healthy pregnancy. An example of this, is that it has the recommended amounts of folic acid, as well as the other B vitamins, for pregnant women. I believe this is what kept me from having a lot of nausea during my pregnancy. The only thing that I would change about this vitamin are the inert ingredients. For one thing, the makers of this vitamin have added a coloring agent to them. I personally think that is completely unnecessary, and doesn't add any nutritional support. However, it is an effective prenatal vitamin, and I don't regret taking them throughout my pregnancy.

The One A Day Prenatal Vitamin is easy on my stomach and not too big to swallow, which is important to me since I have trouble swallowing a lot of pills. I always take it at night after eating dinner, because I know taking vitamins on an empty stomach can make you sick. Taking them at night works better for me as well, because when I'm pregnant I tend to feel very ill in the morning and wouldn't be able to eat or take any pills. What I don't like about this vitamin pack is the DHA pill that comes with it. No matter what time of day I take this pill or how much I eat I always feel extremely nauseous and uneasy afterwards. I also burp constantly after taking the DHA and the aftertaste is terrible. I don't know if being pregnant makes me ultra-sensitive to the taste, but I have trouble even swallowing the DHA pill. After trying it out for a few days I decided to throw them out and just take the prenatal vitamin. I know DHA is important during pregnancy, but it wasn't worth taking this pill everyday and feeling ill. With the prenatal vitamin itself I suffered no ill effects. The prenatal vitamin included all of the vitamins and nutrients a pregnant woman requires.

I started using this One a Day pregnancy vitamin after reading the labels and discovering that it contained 100% of almost all the vitamins and minerals you will need , except for Vitamin A - that is only 50% of the recommended daily dosage . Vitamin A in high doses can be toxic. The Iron content is 150 % of the daily recommended dosage because pregnant and menstruating women lose iron and need more than men or post menopausal women . Even if you are not pregnant is is safe to continue using this vitamin . My friend suffers from thinning hair and when she used this vitamin her hair grew in noticeably thicker and fuller . That is due to 100 % of the daily recommended dosage of Bioton -4 300 mcg . After I started taking these vitamins my hair loss which has been a problem for awhile now diminished and my hair looked and felt healthier and fuller . I also feel more energized after having taken these vitamins because I am sure I was deficient in several vitamins due to poor eating habits and working third shift . The iron is difficult to digest so it is important to take this large pill with lots of water and with food for best results.

As a mom going through my third pregnancy, I have tried several prenatal vitamins in the past. The One A Day prenatal vitamins are by far the easiest to swallow, have a nice scent and are reasonably priced. This particular vitamin comes as a set (the multivitamin with the DHA); both equally important and not easy to find a pair from the same company. In the past, I have tried various prenatal vitamins and have often been disappointed with either the large size, texture, smell or exclusion of DHA supplement. When pregnant, it is close to impossible for some to swallow anything due to nausea. This is not the case with the One A Day vitamins. They go down easily and do NOT leave any sort of gross aftertaste. Even after I have my baby, I will continue taking these vitamins, as it is recommended for breastfeeding mothers. I highly recommend not wasting your money or time with other brands.

When I was pregnant during my first trimester my OB/GYN prescribed me other prenatal vitamins that were pretty pricey. I looked into other prenatal vitamins and the One A Day prenatal vitamins have more vitamins and minerals in it for just one third of the cost of the prescription prenatal vitamins with dha. My stomach couldn't handle the prescription ones and I threw them up a few minutes after taking them, so they were worthless to me. I haven't ever had a problem with these ones coming back up. Although I learned a cool trick. Don't take prenatals in the morning. You're more likely to throw them up if you do. Since I started taking them in the evenings, I've never had trouble keeping down prenatal vitamins, no matter how gross they taste. But these prenatal vitamins don't taste all that bad. They don't have much taste at all, as a matter of fact. I've taken them since my second trimester of pregnancy and am still taking them as a nursing mother. They've been great to help me and my one-year-old baby get the nutrients that we both need.

I was taking these last year during my pregnancy and have to admit I loved them. My doctor even recommended me taking them before pregnancy to help get my body ready. I really like them and recommend them to anyone. I am actually going to start taking them again in a few months because I really liked the way they made my nails and hair healthier.
